Our paper is out in @Nature today! We use Deep Visual Proteomics (DVP) to dissect α1-antitrypsin deficiency (AATD) in human liver at single-cell resolution. Let us take a tour through proteotoxic stress in intact human tissue — one hepatocyte at a time. https://t.co/ZpmXqsn1HC

Have you ever wondered if liver zonation is conserved from mice to humans? And how does fibrosis affect zonation in patients? Now, these questions are answered using scDVP. Some collaborations are meant to be @CarolineWeiss30 @metaboflo @labs_mann @MLSB_Borgwardt

Preprint alert!! How zonated hepatocytes adapt to changes in lipid influx due to fasting or a Western diet (WD). We developed a microscopy-based phenotyping method called single-cell phenomics (scPhenomics) to measure the features of mitochondria and lipid droplets (LDs).

New study from us: https://t.co/GioeqFmsKo High mtDNA copy number promotes lung cancer growth in the mouse, whereas mtDNA depletion in tumor cells reduces tumor growth. This tumor-intrinsic role for mtDNA can be exploited for development of future lung cancer therapies.
