The next stage of 'the apothecary network' has been announced.
We wanna see how AI can create more accessible and radical ways for Black and Brown people to exist with green spaces.

📢📢📢 BIG TING KLAXONS!!!
We're super hyped to be part of the new More Than AI cohort.
Our aim will be to experiment with how natural language processing can help the apothecary network adapt and meet the needs of the community.
It's an exciting new stage! ✨🌱
I had a little cry yesterday because, today, I will pay off the final £3,592 to become 100% debt free for the first time in my adult life. When I got sober over a decade ago, I owed more £60,000 (and some in very unsavoury places) so this is a small miracle for me.
This surely has to be the ultimate girlboss post of all time?
Yes, Andrew Tate should've let a woman be in charge of the comms for his sex trafficking empire.
An excellent take.
I'm sorry but the brain worms have been slowly getting at Diane Abbott for a few years. We've all had sympathy because of everything she's done and everything she's been put through but from positions on policing and sex workers, to now this letter fuckeries.
On Saturday, we occupied the Barbican Centre with a guerilla celebration of art and culture by Palestinians and their allies against the censorship within the sector.
It was a joyous and radical reclamation of British cultural space.
Let Us Speak!
I'm seeing an alarming number of "Labour only cares about Jews" and "they wouldn't do this for us" type posts right now.
Sorry but that shit is antisemitic.
Jews aren't receiving special treatment and if you think anyone in power gives a fuck about Jewish people, you're a fool.
Margaret Hodge is the current Chair of the Board of Directors for
@stratfordeast

Newham has one of the lowest White British populations in the UK and is about 70% Black and Brown people.
And the largest art institute in the area has this racist overseeing things?
Fucked up.
Margaret Hodge talking about she would have felt “fear” living in Barking and Dagenham and seeing “different” faces in the schools (by which, one can only presume, means black and brown kids).
I’m sorry… what???
Okay, putting aside the fact that Starmer is a snake.
Why are we constantly talking about her coming back to the UK to "face justice"?
Justice for what?
Being groomed as a child and literally manipulated by intelligence services? Are you fucking mad?
'Should Shamima Begum be allowed back in order to face justice in the UK?'
Labour leader Keir Starmer was questioned on
#BBCBreakfast
after Shamima Begum lost her latest legal challenge over the decision to deprive her of British citizenship
There are a few things about the Andrew Tate recordings that jump out to me.
Firstly, the systemic misogyny, corruption and failings of the CPS to act show how this is not an institution that protects women (or anyone).
They had literal audio confessions.
The RMT's Mick Lynch announces additional strike dates on 24 December to 27 December.
He adds that 'there has been no improved offer presented to his union' and that they have "no choice" as the current offer is "extremely detrimental"

Free Palestine. 🇵🇸
This is recent guidance from Arts Council offered to NPOs that may want to make statements on "current events".
Not only are they trying to silence organisations but also people operating in a personal capacity too.
This is why it could never be "credit where credit's due" with Jess Phillips.
She would've voted against a ceasefire out of spite if she didn't like the way her constituents spoke.
And I fully believe her.
The weird little power trip seems right up her alley to me.
This. Also a message to all making demands on either side - if my constituents had shouted and raged at me the outcome might have been different. They didn't they sat and had cups of tea, and thoughtful chats. Heat and aggression is not the answer here.
A disgusting slap in the face to the industry when Birmingham, Nottingham and so many others are suffering from devastating cuts... but that's what being buds gets you, I guess.
We’re providing £26.4m of funding for the National Theatre, a globally renowned institution.
The UK’s creative industries are a driver for economic growth - this funding will ensure the National Theatre's acclaimed productions can continue.
Theatre is ridiculously unsustainable. It's next to impossible to pay people right. I'm sorry but "Equity minimum" just doesn't cut it. And neither does a £30K project grant.
Sure, you can be a nepo baby and talented.
And you can be insanely talented and never get a break in Hollywood because your parents aren't Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid.
Can these celebrities stop pretending they don't understand the criticism?!
Meg Ryan says that the “nepo baby” label is “dismissive” of her son Jack Quaid’s talent:
“Jack is really talented. He’s more of a natural than I’ll ever be. That nepo stuff is so dismissive of his work ethic, his gifts, and how sensitive he is to the idea of his privilege.”
Made moussaka and a couple of traditional Greek salads.
And then didn't bother plating it all pretty because that requires time and this food was too good to wait around to be eaten.
I'm tryna cook more proper on weekends because I love it.
And I'm very good at it.
I am nine years sober today. It's been a journey during that time. If I listed what life has thrown my way, you wouldn't believe me, from homelessness to court cases, plus more than I care to go into. But I'm still here, still grateful and still trudging along one day at a time.
So because his mother was a cop they got a payout? But what about every other young Black boy that this happens to?
She wants to call the stop racist (which it was) but still wants to walk around in that badge and uniform? How can this happen and she's still defending the Met?
Exclusive: Met Police forced to apologise and pay £6k after unlawful search and handcuffing of a 13-year-old mixed-race boy. I spoke with the child's mother who happens to be a serving Met Police officer. "It was racist," she says.
The "theatre etiquette" concept needs an overhaul if it wants to be relevant.
We say we value the liveness and anything-can-happen nature, and then do everything we can, from performance to audience, to stop the unexpected.
And in doing so we destroy what makes theatre magic.
I went to a theatre press night which was a play with a Black cast. A review complained about the crowd making too much noise “obviously friends and family” which was his way of saying “There were too many noisy n-words in the audience”
So yes let’s have blackout nights
My girl just told a story about when she went to Budapest and thought she rented a whole apartment to herself but another person was staying there who thought the same. So they both went and complained, and were offered a free breakfast as compensation... and it was just an egg.
This is so fucking unhelpful.
It's equating Palestinian resistance with Nazism.
It's suggesting that they were killed for being Jewish instead of being illegal settlers on stolen land.
It's not even right to compare them as civilians to me.
Last Saturday, Hamas engaged in the biggest mass murder of Jews since the Holocaust.
Jewish people everywhere are understandably grieving and traumatised.
Those of us opposing the mass slaughter in Gaza aren't belittling this. We just don't want more innocent people to die
Hold on...
So while theatres struggle to keep their doors open or close down altogether,
@ace_national
has a spare £24m just lying around?
Some of the NPO asks are only a few hundred thousand. A tiny dent in that huge sum would save institutions integral to their communities.
@NatScott_
@E_N_O
Hi Natalie, this increase has been made possible by using unallocated funds – it doesn’t have any impact on funds already committed such as our NLPG or DYCP programmes. Thanks!
Sometimes when you're attacked relentlessly, as she has been, you're always on the defensive. That means you don't listen when good people try to help you not make mistakes.
This National Theatre news is a reminder that they have always had the money.
The cuts we face are ideological. Not out of necessity but a desire to strangle artistic expression.
Not that an industry that refuses to speak out against genocide has anything worthwhile to express.
I need to understand from theatres why they felt they could speak on BLM in 2020, and commit to being "anti-racist" and "challenging systemic racism" without breaching Charity Commission guidelines on political neutrality. But can't speak on Palestine to call for a ceasefire?!
I've been having many fruitless conversations with theatre companies trying to get them to say something.
Anything.
But all of them have said no.
Well, I run a theatre company and we're not bound by the Charity Commission.
Here's what we have to say.
🇵🇸 If, like us, you have been heartbroken by the events unfolding in Gaza and the Occupied West Bank, and you have been saddened and disappointed by the failure of our industry to speak up. We hope these resources will be helpful.
It's sad seeing so many artists at Ed Fringe with amazing shows, getting rave reviews, selling out performances... and still struggling to balance the books.
It's broken.
We should know better than to play this game. Leave it to the rich kids and let it slip into irrelevance.
I mean, he's literally a rich kid with his own architecture firm.
This cosplaying poverty to gain artist clout and internet followers is wack as fuck to me.
Nice he has £4,000 to sink into the gimmick, though.
Good for him.
Gonna be in the

I told you, you man.
Arts Council moving sinister as fuck with this guidance.
The way "reputational risk" is being used *successfully* to silence people is mad.
But let's be real that there's bare cowards in this industry who wouldn't speak out either way.
APNews: Arts Council England (
@ace_national
) has updated its policies, warning that "political statements" made by individuals linked to an organisation can cause "reputational risk", breaching funding agreements (1/5)
Rishi Sunak could become PM without it even being voted on by the members. That is so wild. If that happens the calls for a General Election will be deafening.
And Shamima should be allowed back, not because she was groomed but because you shouldn't be able to strip people's citizenships and leave them stateless no matter the circumstances.
Nah, fuck this, man.
All of these organisations, from cancelling Jewish celebrations to banning people wearing Palestine badges, are the only ones stoking those tensions.
Their actions are trying to turn this into some us vs them type bullshit.
Havering Borough Council has cancelled its Hanukkah celebration this year.
The council says the Jewish festival "could risk further inflaming tensions" because of the conflict in the Middle East.

I was in an abusive and manipulative relationship about eight years ago. It went through a court case and so I had to collect a load of evidence of me being stalked, threatened, etc. This week, I deleted that folder and I thought it would feel like letting go but the fear now.
When you work to get into a position of power within a system and then that system stops you from making change, as it's designed to, why are you still clinging to that "power"? Because if you're not making the change then at that point it's just for your own vanity.

Palestinian theatre ADs and Producers are being kidnapped by Israeli forces and the British theatre landscape is still silent...? Cool. Coolcoolcool. Much integrity. So apolitical.
Sorry but it's really difficult to claim it isn't a defence of Andrew Tate.
If you look at the original thread, and subsequent retweets of the article, they were accompanied by the
#FreeTopG
hashtag.
The intention was clear... discredit Thunberg and paint Tate as a victim.
Does anyone else ever think about the fact that in their 20s they used to be a homeless alcoholic drinking K Cider in bushes but now they're successful (and very dope) producers who go walking in nature for a living, or is that just me?
I am relentlessly online and very opinionated but, in person, I'm also very measured, balanced and listen well. I don't think that always comes across online. So when I meet people who know me purely off my tweets, I think it can be a surprise. I'm actually a very chill person.
This has been four years in the making.
Dismissed began as a single scene at my first ever production.

I don't care about you getting a free ride.
And I'm definitely not gonna be a fucking snitch and put it on the internet like a weirdo. Extremely pathetic and cruel behaviour, to be honest.
I really don't understand the appeal of a General Election? Am I alone in this? This has to undoubtedly be the evilest lesser-of-two-evils election we have ever seen. I would say even to the point that it makes next to no difference? Starmer's Labour isn't gonna fix anything.
Today I am 10 years sober and feeling so grateful.
I chat bare about getting old and that's because there was a time when I didn't think I would be here. But I am.
If you struggling and need help, come let's chat about the perks of being a reformed wreckhead.
It's dope. ✌🏽
🚨 BREAKING: HARRODS SPRAY PAINTED AND KNIGHTSBRIDGE BLOCKED 🚨
🎨 At 9am today, 20 Just Stop Oil supporters stopped traffic on Knightsbridge in central London, demanding an end to new oil and gas. Two have also sprayed the outside of Harrods department store with orange paint.
Thirdly, and finally, the trauma of having been violated by this man and then seeing him on his media circus tour must be unbearable.
My heart bleeds for the survivors, what they've been through and what they are likely to continue to go through over the coming months.
That's how Diane Abbott has been for years now. She don't listen. She keeps fucking up. And we, understandably, try to give her leeway but if she isn't gonna learn and grow then that's a real problem.
I swear I could never do these kinda actions that Just Stop Oil do because if I was sitting in the road, or spaffing on the Home Office, and a completely random person off the street laid hands on me, the peaceful part of the protest would vanish quickly.
I dunno, man, if the only thing I did as a kid was get mouthy to strangers on the tube then I think I was doing alright. I'm glad that social media wasn't really a thing so I couldn't be filmed and put on the internet for people to be weirdly fatphobic about.
I wouldn't trust no one at Novara.
Bastani already in his police surveillance bag with those two protesters charged on terrorist offences.
And then there's them comparing Palestinian resistance to Nazism.
Protesters blocking traffic at Oxford Circus in central London, calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.

It's good that theatres are finally saying something.
It's bad it has taken our peers being kidnapped before they decided it was any of their business instead of speaking up before the 20,000 innocent deaths.
Still, and I mean this genuinely, it is better late than never.
The Royal Court is shocked to learn that Mustafa Sheta & Jamal Abu Joas of

have been arrested. We demand their immediate release.
Ahmed Tobasi was also arrested & has since been released. He is suffering injury as a result of being detained.
Full statement:
Secondly, from The Voice publishing a Tate incel fanboy to Piers Morgan not challenging "no woman has ever complained about me" to every half-sympathetic thinkpiece, our media is largely responsible for the rise in influence of this monster as they put his views up for "debate".
Where the Polish ppldem at, tho?!
Come on, man.
In Big 2023, you still moving like this with your resources? You not got no one in your team to flag this as an issue?
How are we, as an industry, still not learning from this?

Don't be obtuse. No one is asking Stage to get rid of their paywall entirely. It's been requested over a single article with particular importance to the safety, mental health and experiences of all those who work in theatre.
Phillips has built an entire brand (and a lucrative side career) from being a voice for women who experience domestic violence. So to be like "nah, just gonna ignore the world's most prominent misogynist and internet radicalisation" is wild. Who are you even for?!

OMG. She had a Matrix screensaver running in the background.
This is so deranged.
All this because you couldn't handle criticism that stanning Tommy Robinson isn't The One (Neo from The Matrix).
Extraordinarily scummy behaviour from
@HOME_mcr
who are not only silencing Palestinian voices and their allies but want to invoke sentiments of Islamophobia with this insidious "safety" concern.
Using Jewish people to sow seeds for dissent and undermine calls for Palestinian liberation is *not* catering to "one demographic" as I keep seeing it being said by people too cowardly to say it with their chest.
30 *working* days is like six weeks.
That's too long for people to go without being paid their money.
And people preemptively chase because many companies are deliberately bad at paying and offer no transparency or communication.
I done the work. Now I got bills. Pay up.
So embarrassing. This is journalism, yeah?
You see a successful local politician doing great things for his community, and there's no asking how he's doing it, no talking to Rahman.
No... just implications that he's corrupt.
Based on the result of a corrupt and racist case.
Tower Hamlets Mayor Lutfur Rahman (prev found guilty of electoral fraud but re-elected in May after his ban on standing for office expired in '21) has announced he will reintroduce the Education Maintenance Allowance
No info as to how it will be paid for. Most councils are skint
CPS won't prosecute someone when they have audio confessions admitting rape but will prosecute if you rob a bag of rice. We have to recognise that this is working exactly as it is intended. It's maintaining social order, a very specific social order, one of patriarchy and racism.
@Arbeit_Fish
This is clearly someone very posh trying to show how working class they are because they're not from London. I live within walking distance of three Gregg's.
I can't get over the right of the Labour party al going "wHeN wE GeT a WomAN?!!" after they voted in a man and the whole of the left of the party voted for Rebecca Long-Bailey. Just have the tinest bit of shame.
Yesterday, we presented the apothecary network.
We've spent three months creating a prototype app that uses tech to share the knowledge needed to grow community apothecaries.
It's been wild.
I'm super proud to have created something (even in its early stages) that dreams big.
I saw

@royalcourt
last night and, for many reasons, I think it's probably the most radical bit of theatre I've ever seen which is amazing given the space. But not radical in that surface way of queer, trans, gender liberated peeps on stage in Sloane Square.
We keep seeing this and it's so disingenuous.
Which Jews are they hanging out with because, me personally, I've been to these marches and *every* *single* *time* I've been alongside Jewish friends.
Jewish people in my life are out there unafraid because they are among comrades.
