This is particulatly worrying if you are the parent of a disabled non-verbal daughter who needs care. Men pose a greater risk of sexual assault. Provision based on gender does not exlude men. Only sex-based rights secure female-only care and the requirement for female consent.

Parents are being denied same-sex intimate care for their disabled daughters. When a woman is forced to accept intimate care from a man, this is a removal of women’s right to consent and bodily autonomy.
This. THIS!!! Our severely learning disabled daughter has had her rights to same sex intimate care challenged twice over the last two years. Once by her special school; once by her LA (who record gender only not sex too). Both deemed unlawful. We live in Kingston
