I’m going to do a little thread about financial abuse because I think a lot of people believe that abuse ends when you leave a relationship… not if you have kids.
This morning my daughter’s father has made deductions to my maintenance without notice or discussion.

Any mother who has breastfed a baby will know how distressed it gets when it can’t latch on, or it doesn’t get milk, or it can’t suck. Since when was making babies suck men’s nipples part of parenting.
In the end, I only breastfed my child for a few weeks.
I then had to stop because I had a cancer relapse and didn't want to poison my child.

I visited the Women in Revolt exhibition yday. On entry all the discriminations women faced in the 70s were listed, then a handbrake turn squeezed in the men who faced none of the same but wanted to identify as women. Just try to imagine an exhibition about racism doing the same.
