Nearly a year on from the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, Israeli forces continue to breach it - including attacks on UN peacekeepers at the weekend. Today in Parliament, I asked what the UK is doing to support #Lebanon and its Armed Forces at this critical time

These reforms are a victory for survivors and for everyone who’s campaigned tirelessly to make their voices count. Proud to have fought for both ✊🌹

We’re also ending the misuse of #NDAs to silence victims of crime. Victims must be free to speak, seek help, and warn others - not trapped by secrecy. This change restores their right to be heard.

For too long, children of convicted sex offenders were left unprotected - through no fault of their own. That ends now. Families will finally be shielded from these dangerous individuals, thanks to the courage of survivors who spoke out.

Yesterday, the Labour Government corrected a historic injustice - protecting children from convicted sex offenders and ending the misuse of NDAs that silence victims. Two vital steps to put survivors first

Proud to see the @UKLabour Government deliver on its promise to end the misuse of NDAs. This reform restores victims’ voices and drives the culture change we’ve long called for. Huge thanks to @ZeldaZeldaluna and all at @cbmsilence for leading the way https://t.co/Szm7cPfecO

No parent convicted of such crimes should retain rights over a child – this is a vital step forward in safeguarding. Congrats to @nataliefleetmp, @HarrietHarman, and @Jess4Lowestoft for their work on this 👏🌹

I welcome the @MoJGovUK reforms to better protect children from sexual offenders. This is an issue close to my heart and one I've campaigned one for years since being first elected to Parliament https://t.co/mrHS9YtFXA

Unearned income and wealth are taxed far less than everyday earnings - that’s completely unfair & holds back our economy. I welcome the Chancellor’s commitment to addressing this. A transformative Labour Govt must be bold in building a fairer tax system https://t.co/4SaZbuA3bc

£3bn of “headroom” appeared overnight. If that can change in weeks what faith can anyone have in the next set of fiscal numbers for 5 yrs' time? These aren’t solid forecasts –they’re moving targets. We should show a range of headroom figures not pretend there’s one precise answer

Plans for a major reform of the housebuying system, which aim to cut costs, reduce delays and halve failed sales, have been unveiled by the government. Housing minister Miatta Fahnbulleh told #BBCBreakfast the changes would "fix the broken system" in England

There is no place in our society for acts of violence such as this. And it is sickening to target any place of faith. My thoughts are with all victims, their families & solidarity with the Jewish community.

This is your vote, your choice. You the members choose your Deputy Leader. Having this debate is not dissent, but an important conversation about how we can be better. I'll be your strong independent voice.
