all of this couldve been avoided... by just giving the kid the chips & guac. do you know how many times ive given my son the food he wants over what i made, & THEN he eats what i made? & before we go there, he is not overweight at all. there was def a better way to handle this.

horrific, dangerous rhetoric. we need community. a daycare is part of a community. a collective space where the children are cared for by professionals so that parents can handle other tasks/have time for themselves. these are necessary & good for community!
I sent my children to preschool programs when they were about 2 or 3. You know, the “mommy’s day out” kind of thing.
I’m not making a general statement as to whether this is good/bad, but if I could go back, I would not participate, and I would have homeschooled them.

kid is happy, fed, not stressed over food during developmental years. has access to healthy food so chooses healthy choices naturally. honestly the hardest part can be when he just doesnt know exactly what he wants, and then we work thru it together. instead of fighting.
