@afneil If you watch the whole speech, Rayner, along with Burnham, asked for a reduction in Hospitality vat to bring us in line with Europe…and a reduction in Business Rates. All Trade Bodies have been asking for this. It would save businesses, jobs and help the High St.

We already face the highest tax on a Great British holiday - we are also the only country in EU that doesn’t have a lower VAT rate for hospitality if the government is serious about tackling the cost of living the last thing they should do is add another tax on working families.
