Ask the Democrats how "vote for us, we're not as bad as THEM" went. Give people a reason to support your policies that isn't "the others are worse". How do people not get this?

Doctors are never going to find a more accommodating space for negotiations than under this government, but change cannot happen all at once. A reminder that the conservatives would ban strikes. I've always supported doctors and nurses but this feels wrong footed and unpopular

@jabberwock951 You framed your comments in terms of Wes’ career not concern for patients safety. And you continue to do so in your response. Saying the quiet part out loud somewhat

Led by the wonderful Sophie Roche. Systematic review and meta‐analysis of what happens when antipsychotics are discontinued in people with dementia treated for agitation or psychosis. RR of relapse 1.5. Useful to guide decisions.

Whatever theories change, one thing is clear with Functional Neurological Disorder: real neurological symptoms mean something is going wrong in the brain. Not a bad day, not a failure of character, and not something a person chooses or fakes. #FND

Some perspective… If we doubled the capacity of UK hospitals, we still wouldn’t be at the level of the European average This is a capacity issue, and any government failing to increase capacity is knowingly permitting corridor care and putting patients at risk It’s not on us!

NHS orders hospitals to cut back on treating patients in many areas of England as the NHS struggles to balance its books & have ordered some hospitals to cut back meaning 100,000s of patients could have to wait longer for treatment Not due to Resident Drs

Simply staggering. The UK needs to train more doctors. Instead of using every possible avenue to address that, @wesstreeting is now openly (and proudly) treating the public’s health as a bargaining chip to punish doctors for taking lawful strike action. How did we get here?

🧠⚕️ Treating delirium is complex. ♥️ But always remember that there is a person in front of you who is suffering & needs warmth, gentleness & skilled interaction. 🪢 Thinking about delirium treatment as both brain care & mind care is essential. #delirium #acutecare

I think the public would be appalled if I went ahead with the offer while they’re left suffering Christmas strikes. I don’t want this transactional relationship with the BMA, I want a partnership. I hope we can build that in 2026 if RDs vote for the offer and end the strikes.

@wesstreeting What I cannot understand, is that if you truly think this is an important thing to do, and as you said in Parliament, important to protect the investment tax payers have made. Then why would you not implement this anyway as its the right thing to do?

@Adrian_Hilton He seems to come across as a petulant, point-scoring dickhead. But you seem to think that’s a good thing and will appeal to the electorate. Which is a good illustration of how depressing the political situation is in this country at the moment.

Although new AD therapies reduce amyloid plaques, they have not led to major clinical improvements. Pini et al. suggest that changes in brain connectivity may offer a more sensitive and biologically meaningful marker of disease modification. https://t.co/jVpaiXz4zI

Sort of……yes, but not isolated Catatonia. NMDAR-Ab Encephalitis almost always presents with a multitude of features. This paper should not be taken to suggest any one feature in isolation is a core manifestation of autoimmune encephalitis
