I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Labour will never privatise the NHS. We’ll work with the private sector to cut NHS waiting lists while we build the staff, the equipment and the technology the NHS needs to treat patients on time.

This is really lovely 👇🏻
How music helped the Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer in his grief, after losing his brother last year. Sir Keir joins Michael Berkeley on Private Passions at 12pm this Sunday to talk about music, family and the pressures of politics, sharing some of his favourite classical

Will we hold Jay Jones to the most basic standards??? We teach our children to use persuasion to sort out disagreements, not threats of violence. Certainly not death wishes! My new ad. With @CatholicVote: “If we want a better future, it starts with better examples”

You’re right, I didn’t share Anas’s powerful point about a lack of representative leadership in Scotland. That apology of yours lasted long, didn’t it?
Dear @WesStreeting, I’m sorry you feel that way. Perhaps you could remind us all how strongly you spoke up when this happened.

Shocking cowardice in the face of blatant prejudice. The Conservative Party seems determined to swim in the sewer with Reform UK.
Chris Philp had 6 opportunities to condemn Reform MP Sarah Pochin’s racist comments. He refused. This is what the Tory Party has become. Too weak to stand up to Reform. Labour is clear - there is no place for this politics in the Britain we are building.

I would like to thank the Met, Essex and British Transport Police for their tireless work around the clock to hunt down and arrest Hadush Kebatu. He will be deported as quickly as possible.

Sarah Pochin’s comments were a disgrace. And Nigel Farage’s silence is deafening.

Fear of racism has come up on the doorstep more in the last few months than during my last 15 years in elected politics. We’re not going back to ‘70s and ‘80s racism - if the majority of decent people speak up. This is our fight. It has always been our fight. And we will win.

An election that nobody wanted, with two brilliant candidates and a worthy winner. Huge congratulations to @LucyMPowell on a flawless campaign. She’s absolutely right about the need to deliver the change people are crying out for with a bold Labour agenda.

I asked Dr @zubirahmed for a minute of his time to discuss a constituency matter. He said he’d call me when he could. The call: taken in-between actual surgery cases Find me a more dedicated Minister than this!

August 2024: We announced extra funding and cut red tape to recruit 1,000 newly-qualified GPs. Now: We've recruited over 2,500. We're giving GPs more resources so you can see the same doctor, and we’re introducing online booking requests to end the 8am scramble.

I am appalled at the release in error at HMP Chelmsford. We are urgently working with the police to track him down and I’ve ordered an urgent investigation. Kebatu must be deported for his crimes, not on our streets.

This is why the small boats are Farage's Brexit Boats...
