The press doesn’t need to script the lens through which we view results that haven’t even been conducted or shared yet. Objective, critical appraisal should be the standard, not presupposed narratives.

@pash22 @UPenn_MedEthics @ProfRobHoward Interesting viewpoint. The point is that this is nothing to do with a well intentioned drive to destigmatise 'dementia'. This is all to do with pitching for very expensive high-end diagnostics at a time when the uk infrastructure can't basically cope with it.

RT SVP🔽

Fragmenting care costs more+ lower quality care. meantime qualified GPs can't get jobs in practices (complex but increased costs of running practices, underfunding /instability). far better to invest in stable core NHS GP (and read evidence on walk in services!)

@docib @LittlePersonDoc @KreedKafer @RCEMpresident @gmcuk Which is why the original tiers document was such a mistake. Because it was (?wilfully) misunderstood in certain quarters and applied in a way that wasn’t intended or reasonable.

@docib @LittlePersonDoc @KreedKafer @RCEMpresident @gmcuk The danger with using language applying equivalence, is that people who don’t understand the difference, will think you mean these two groups are the same. And they aren’t at all.
