Disabled ppl have the right to spontaneous travel which is turn up & go (TUAG) like everyone else.
The app may want 2 hours notice but disabled ppl are under NO obligation to book.
We must make every disabled person aware of this!
🚨NEW: Documents used in ticket office closure consultations reveal that operators were given the opportunity to circumvent accessibility obligations.
It is outrageous to suggest there are any acceptable “alternative arrangements” to disabled people receiving timely assistance.

Then they PROVIDE you a cab back to where you couldn’t exit.

I finally have a wet room & I’ve had a standing up 🚿 without feeling unsafe,grab rails in the right place, no glass panels to fall into, no bath to trip in/out of, no bath board to slip off of. Won’t always be able to stand but i welled up with happy tears at the possibilities!

Visiting friends, we went to zoo yesterday - 2 y/o was fascinated by 👩🏻🦼 & understood v quickly that we need to find dropped kerbs not steps.
Cue random ‘YAY LOOK MUMMY IT’S FLAT’ vs ‘OH MUMMY NO IT’S A STEP WHAT ABOUT SAM MUMMY’
If a 2 yr old can get it why can’t businesses?

Unfortunately because they didn’t take me seriously or listen to me or make any real attempt to put it right… they ended up having to settle for £5569.50 PLUS LEGAL COSTS.
I have no idea how much mine and their costs would be but I’m guessing the total cost for everything was

Do they think we’re stupid & won’t notice the amended language?
This is about the CLOSURE of ticket offices, which’ll then allow the removal of staff from stations & end up with the loss of TUAG.
So fed up with this constant misleading spin!

If you’re passing a train station near you today can you go in and ask if their ticket office closure consultation info is available in these accessible formats & share your findings on here please? The consultation itself would appear to not be accessible - couldn’t make it up!!
This is Nuneaton train station where there is a poster in the corner of the train ticket office about the consultation. I asked at the ticket office for information in braille, audio, large print, easy read & sign language. None was available. The consultation is a sham

Searched for ramps & asked me which would be best. I showed her the portable ramps that
