We all need to get around, but in the UK many disabled people like us are blocked from travelling because of large gaps and steps between the train and the platform. Level boarding solves that issue, so stations are more accessible to everyone.

London’s beauty is in its people, its history, its streets. But a street isn’t truly beautiful unless it’s inclusive. A London where Disabled people can move freely is a London that works for everyone. #InclusiveDesign #DisabledPeople @InclusionLondon.

🚗 Where you park matters! 🚗.Over half of disabled people say pavement parking makes it harder to get around safely. Let’s keep pavements clear and park considerately – so everyone can use public pathways with ease. 🧡

71% of disabled people want to use more sustainable modes of transport, but face needless barriers such as overcrowding, missing announcements and a lack of lifts. Public transport must be accessible, so we can all make choices about how to travel.

First full version of @networkrail's new 'Beacon' type footbridge has just gone in at @tfwrail's Abergavenny station. Modern, smart, some nice contextual ref, great new views, but most importantly: step-free access for all! Nice work @NetworkRailWAL @ArcadisUK & @MonmouthshireCC.

We should all be able to travel when and where we need to, but only 3% of disabled people say they can travel without planning in advance. It’s time to make the UK’s transport systems accessible to everyone 👨‍🦼🧑‍🦯🧏‍♀️🐕‍🦺
