Whatever your views on the Act, it is a sad day when a Bill passed overwhelmingly by the Scottish Parliament can, at at whim of a UK Govt the vast majority of Scots didn’t vote for, can block it. It might be ‘lawful’ under the UK, but doesn’t make it right.

@BBCJamesCook @ScotRail Folk are quick to blame staff, but if the passengers grew up and didn’t leave their shite behind on the tables/seats/floor then it wouldn’t be nearly as bad. The mess doesn’t just appear from nowhere.

@ruth_wishart Weird thing to be cynical over tbh, Ruth. Any decent campaign spreads endorsements out rather than frontload them all. It’s hardly unusual.

Textbook push polling. "If X = positive outcome, would you support it?". Scotland doesn't need nuclear; renewables comfortably meet all our energy requirements. It's not even close.

@Georgia_Edkins @mailplus Imagine being on the same side as Kemi Badenoch. Urgh. That should be enough to make anyone vote for the bill. (That, and it’s the right thing to do.)

@DannyFiler When you bash the SNP, you’re bashing folk like me. You’re bashing my parents and wider family - all of whom used to vote Labour but stopped because of this condescension. So thank you for confirming what we knew to be true - Labour doesn’t care about the Scottish working class

@paulhutcheon Despite Labour not winning the election in South Lanarkshire… got through on Tory votes. Backward step for voters.

@mgshanks Why is it “unthinkable”? If I was a voter in R&HW, I’d want an MP who took rational, big picture, evidence-led approaches to policy making. Not someone who takes positions on the basis of expediency in a by-election.
