(1/2) Dear @AmbetterHealth, I followed your most recent 2019 guide for HCV treatment and ordered the preferred drug, Mavyret. After 8-10 calls, we were asked to order generic sofosbuvir/velpatasvir. This cost us 7-8 hours of time and delayed tx. Update your guide.🙏 @AASLDtweets

You can pound away with the next laxative, but often patients experience the Goldilocks effect of "it's too much" (trading for diarrhea to feel empty) or "it's not enough". The first line of treatment is pelvic floor PT. Life changing for patients. #constipation

One of the most overlooked yet very common contributors to constipation is dyssynergic defecation. The muscles that should hold poop to avoid accidents and relax to let poop out get clumsy, don't relax, even tighten when trying to poop. https://t.co/7yq6ePr9Fg #constipation

Great talk by Dr. Emanuel Narcis Husu @bcmhouston @BCM_PMandR. From our first conversation while I was @bcm_gihep to now, Dr. Husu is a wizard with the needle for abdominal wall pain...an amazing listener...and love complexity. Love the term "slow medicine".

If an order for 4-hr solid phase gastric emptying scan is changed by radiology to a 90-minute study without contacting the ordering doctor…then won’t refund the pt…is it reasonable to cause a little hell to help? Oh thank you! I appreciate the support. 😇🔥💩

Working (mom) lunch. In between trauma activations & operative cases & rounding on patients- you can usually find me here. Working on a manuscript, prepping a lecture, or finalizing a talk. Any second I’m away from my kids I make the most of so I can be present with them later.♥️
