The importance of nomenclature: N1-methylpseudouridine, the mod used in COVID vaccines, wasn't tested in Kariko & Weissman Immunity 2005. However, the patent that followed makes reference to "1-methylpseudouridine" among a long list of modified bases as a potential embodiment.
