I think everyone (who isn’t a c*nt) thinks the PM has had a bloody hard few years, from Christchurch to Whakaari then the pandemic. I absolutely respect (and believe) her reason for leaving. Thanks PM, you’ve done an amazing job in the most challenging period in our lifetime.

I was enjoying our Xmas holiday on a Waiheke when the phone rang about 1pm today. Its Mum. Dad went for a walk and didn’t come back. Major heart attack, found dead. I had to tell my sister and then wait for my boys to return from fishing with their uncle to break the news to them

Left our car across from our friends place after some drinks yesterday and found this when we went to get it today, from Karen of Herne Bay who literally thinks they own the park outside their house. This is my new favourite park forever more.

Regardless of one’s politics, I’ve always considered @dbseymour to be a mature and respectful member of Parliament. When a scientist is giving him an explanation he asked for, to publicly respond in this way, shows that maybe he is a dickhead like the rest of you have been saying

Some coverage aside, organising 16,000+ people to get vaccinated in one weekend has meant some very long days for a lot of health and other workers, and is a massive step forward. Super proud to have been part of that journey, even just documenting it with @AotearoaScience

Given what's happening in the US right now, it's concerning to see what appears to be deliberately organised misinformation campaigns by NZ National Party and its MPs. As the comments on these tweets note, this is the opposite of what the PM actually said...

Over the 8 years I did Backbenches, I learned that politicians are people too, and not the caricatures we so often view them as. Even when our views differed, I managed to find something to like in the vast majority of them. Judith was not part of that majority. Good riddance.

I’m begging my mate from across the street to please move his own car across the road just for a day or two but I fear he’s not as petty as me…

Among the bad faith CGT arguments Si and the Nats are now trying is “it’s a tax on money you’ve already paid tax on”. So if I bought a business with tax-paid savings, that business should therefore never pay tax? We deserve to be having a better debate than this.

In my business I'm regularly entrusted with confidential information. Some might affect the sharemarket, others that involve valuable IP, others very personal info. That info doesn't need a password, it needs you to act with integrity and not be a piece of shit like Michelle Boag

I can't believe anyone was today years old and didn't realise that different communities need different approaches (yes, including a special 'priority code') to ensure they reach the same outcomes as others.
