I have tonight paid a parking fine that arrived in the mail for parking a rental car overnight in Wellington, and not moving it until 8.45am (obviously the parking meters started at 8am, idk). The irony is not lost on me...

@damianchristie When I holidayed to Wellington last year, and stayed at an AirBnB in CBD, the thing that got me out of bed early in the morning was going downstairs to feed the bloody meter. There are just no useful free parks in that city.
