Add to this argument the infinite supply of free condoms available. Contraception for men is free and easily accessible, but the funds for free sanitary products, that the vast majority of women aged 12-50 go through on a monthly basis isnt permissible. Structural violence.

Last night a consultant sat the team down and discussed financial advice, savings, investments and pensions. It's the single best tutorial I've received in all my training. Consultants who support juniors are worth the world.

Shout out to tonight's med reg, who I phoned about a hyponatraemic patient getting double strength saline, and when discussing their urine osmolality quipped, "well we will have to take that with a pinch of salt". Didn't miss a beat.

Absolutely. But the e.g. I used (condoms) is. Female forms of contraception are behind barriers (GP appointments, medical contraindications, repeat prescriptions). Healthcare was designed by men, for men and to protect men as first priority. Healthcare is not equitable.

Well unfortunately they are. Menstrual products are viewed as a "luxury item" and are therefore taxed, condoms are not, therefore are free. One has recieved preferential treatment over the other.

Shakespeare taught well is fantastic. The plots of his major works are the basis for many modern movies, tv shows and novels. My English A level has helped me in my medical degree & masters thoroughly. Forming an argument, writing concisely and effectively. It's all relevant.

Telling someone you cant work today isnt met with a "oh no, get well soon" but rather a "so who will be covering your shift". Especially important in a global pandemic where 90% of your patients have/had that pandemic disease.

Not working class myself, but I worked in VIP hospitality and there were tables for those who "won" the experience, i.e. regular fans. They would tip generously, be well mannered, and act appropriately. Those who bought the package were the opposite. So much entitlement.

I'm FY1 & just did a weekend on take w) 3 receiving wards. This wknd NPs couldnt prescribe/order scans/refer. I carried the page and was handed all their admin work. I clerked 1 patient. They saw countless & discussed plans with reg/consultant. I'm a trainee & I learned nothing.

This isn't acceptable. It's not for doctors to speak on behalf of nurses. They have capable representatives who have been elected to discuss on their behalf. We also elect our own representatives. This crisis should not be used as an opportunity for 15 mins on the telly.

I'd add a system that allows doctors to give adequate notice when time off is required for weddings, family events or holidays. Knowing my brother was getting married a year in advance and only finding out 2 months before the wedding that I could get it off is not acceptable.
