There is a reason this job is internationally well remunerated. It’s because it’s a hard job, unsustainable for many, with a abnormally high level of risk . I won’t take any government health policy seriously until they actually recognise this simple fact.

I love Britain, I am so grateful for this country truly. I am a patriot. But it has got its *value* of doctors wrong. The rest of the world knows it, poaches our doctors to much higher salaries and better conditions . But, as a country, we still don’t learn.

Who else literally… to use the cliche… has the life of someone in their hands, working mentally and physically through probably some of the highest levels or risk and stress humans have to endure, and we’re supposed to be ‘grateful’ for our NHS salaries + huge amounts of debt.

Some days, I think, we really, really, really don’t get paid enough for what we do.
