We're reimagining curb space!
Today we kicked off public outreach to inform planning for a “Smart Curbs” pilot on the Upper West Side to modernize our streets to meet 21st century demands.

Man gets butthurt because I super lightly tapped his car for blocking the bike lane, followed by harmless words and he felt the need to try to assault me. I'd be mad too if I had to pay $32k+ in traffic violations. 🤪
Yesterday I had a heated discussion with this driver who wanted to park on the 6th Ave protected bike lane.
I refused to move, I even sat down.
The driver eventually got out and after we exchanged words, he finally saw where I was coming from, he apologized, shared a handshake 1/
So this morning, I got hit by a car that ran the red light. I looked directly at the driver, he was looking to his left (not paying attention). He must've been going 15-20mph when he stuck me. The driver claimed "the sun was in his eyes", which is funny since he wasn't looking.
@scruffyy90
Don't block the bike lane if you don't want your "precious" car touched.
You're provoking my safety because you're too lazy to go find parking.
I just got assaulted by someone because I took pictures of both their cars.. the person in red flashed a badge and said "I can have you arrested, delete those pictures"
I said "make me" the other person continued to scream at me and picking my chest and then threw a plastic
You know the feeling when you try to dodge a person, you go left, they go left, you go right, they go right?
The same thing sorta happens when you encounter an asshole who goes against traffic.
Warning, justifiable use of "harsh" language is being used.
This is the guy who thinks it's ok to hit people with their car...
Carbrains always think it's acceptable to hit someone with their vehicle when they're "inconvenienced".
Drives on the bike lane and gets mad when I knock on his precious car... Car culture is you can intentionally hit someone with your car and they'll be no repercussions for it.
These PLASTIC posts are NOT PROTECTION!
What is this going to stop? A Stroller?
We need some ACTUAL PROTECTION!
Stop using plastic!

If what he said was true, he "couldn't see the light" he didn't see someone wearing red and black on a bike as a black shadow? Anything?
No, he wasn't looking.
'They never stopped' | Tomasa Mejia took her 3 boys to their bus stop Friday morning. Just as the bus approached, a driver sped around the vehicle & nearly hit all of them. The incident happened along Addison Road, in Capitol Heights, Maryland. (

And they wonder why cyclists are "always angry"..
It's like we're not allowed to be upset when they risk our safety. We're supposed to just take it and act like nothing happened.
The amount of bad drivers triggered by this.
Good drivers wouldn't see this as an issue because they'll never put themselves in a situation where someone would touched their "precious" vehicle over inconsiderate/ stupid driving.
Don't want someone touching your car? Be better. 😱
I never get the hatred towards cyclists, like if they see 1 bad 🚲, that 🚲 represents them all. But what about 🚕, 🚗's and 🚛's, how many people are killed because of them, no one has animosity towards them.

@JimboPastoral
No credit check
One payment and done
No insurance
No parking fees
maybe 200 bucks in fixes/replacements per year
No Gas
I'm healthier.
I get to work faster than if I drive
This is the "professionalism" we come to expect with
@NYPDnews
, this is how people are killed/ seriously injured. "Do as I say, not as I do", is that your department's motto?
Cars kill. When cities subsidize driving, we get too many suburban drivers who block the box, run red lights, block the crosswalk… and make walking home a nightmare
When will the
@NYC_DOT
get over their fetish of flex posts and start using something sturdier?
A) it'll save the taxpayer's money on replacement costs.
B) it'll actually be a DETERRENT and prevent drivers from going places they're not supposed to.
C) Why is it still being used?
@NaughtyDrivers
@NoWanKaz
They ALWAYS do that, always trying to shift the blame. There are no dedicated "speed limits" for bikes, it's the same for the vehicles on the road.
The cyclist had the right of way, plain and simple. 🤦
How far this channel has gone, all thanks to every single one of you. I appreciate all of you, especially the regulars who comment here, YouTube and Instagram and those who check up on me.
Stay safe, record everything (if you can) & Continue being awesome.
Hey
@CityofVancouver
this is second incident I’ve seen caused by these useless ‘slow street’ barricades installed last month. They don’t slow down traffic; they cause crashes and traffic chaos.
