Here’s some common sense. If you want or need to drive in cities, your problem isn’t people choosing walking, biking & public transit because of safe infrastructure. It’s all those people forced to drive big cars that are stuck in traffic in front of you. #TheTRUTHaboutTraffic

This is really important. The main thing that makes it hard to achieve nature and green in cities isn’t density of buildings or density of people — it's density of cars. And the more well-designed density of people and buildings you achieve, the fewer cars you need or want.

Markham is working on big, complex city-changing TOD opportunities and challenges around GO Train stations, with a huge responsibility to get it right! Kudos to leaders for seeing the special opportunity to learn from other places like Metro Vancouver. More cities should do that.
