As the author of Minnesota's red flag law, I know that it has been used at least 4 times here to save lives, too - in just its first month in effect.
SCHOOL SHOOTING PREVENTED:
California’s red flag law just prevented a school shooting. A student made multiple threats to shoot up his school and there were multiple firearms in the home. Using the red flag law- the guns were removed.
