Minneapolis has become a tale of two cities. One for the wealthy and well connected, and one for all of us—the renters, transit riders, and working families who are left with vetoes and broken promises. We need a Mayor who stands with working people, and works as hard as we do.

This morning, I was able to sit down with @JungleTheater to discuss how the city can better support our creative economy, stabilize storefronts, and increase cross-jurisdictional collaboration so that we actively retain and grow arts institutions like these in our communities.

Mayor Frey’s proposed budget slashes positions in the only fully independent oversight office at the City. Minneapolis needs a Mayor who is not afraid of accountability. I will fully fund the City Auditor, because we deserve a Mayor that is accountable to us.
