Keith Ellison aggressively went after small business owners across Minnesota for trying to keep their businesses open.
All while large big box stores remained open just down the street. Never forget the pain he has caused in his time as Attorney General.
Good news: I’m not endorsed by elite Hollywood actors who play fictional Marvel superheroes.
Better news: I’m endorsed by real life heroes who put their lives on the line to help keep us safe:
Minnesota’s Police!
It’s a sad day in Minnesota when I hear from countless parents who are too concerned for their children’s safety to let them go trick-or-treating in their own neighborhoods. We are losing the state we know and love. That all changes next Tuesday.
My piece in
@duluthnews
.
Walz's "One Minnesota" is actually "One Political Party Minnesota", in which the extremes of one single party dictate the most far-reaching and radical policies in MN history.
After the Third Precinct fell we needed leaders who would stand up for the men and women who put their lives on the line everyday. Instead Keith Ellison called to defund the police.
Hold him accountable in November.
Last night all non-priority 911 calls in Minneapolis were held. Police were not be able to respond unless you were bleeding or dying.
The law enforcement shortage is very real. This has been a result of Ellison’s failed leadership and hostility to cops. He has to go!
I have met Ryan Londregan. He is a young officer who made a life and death decision in a split second.
That Mary Moriarty—the unfit and unhinged county attorney whose hostility to law enforcement and sympathy with violent criminals knows no bounds—has chosen to charge Ryan in…
Keith Ellison’s son, Jeremiah Ellison who is on the Minneapolis City Council.
He stood on stage, he advocated for defunding and dismantling MPD. You backed his charter amendment that would have done so.
Mary Moriarty’s case against Trooper Ryan has been falling apart since the day she filed charges.
Today, all of MN was made aware that in Trooper Ryan we have a hero, not a villain.
And in Moriarty we have a pro-criminal and anti-cop extremist.
For the same cost as a 14-mile track of rail, Minnesota could instead:
- give every cop in the state a $45,000 bonus for 4 years, or
- give every teacher in the state a one-time bonus of $40,000.
Or we could tax people less.
All better options.
This is what happens when we attack police and have no consequences for criminals.
Law enforcement is under-appreciated, and under-staffed. Criminals aren’t prosecuted aggressively. The system is broken and we have to restore the rule of law.
🚨 BREAKING 🚨
Two former senior members of the Minnesota Attorney General's Office are breaking their silence on FOF.
Both Democrats. Keith Ellison failed.
Let me be very clear: Keith Ellison not only advocated to Defund the Police as the state’s top prosecutor, but he has made a career from demonizing police.
I will work with law enforcement for a safer Minnesota. Not defund them.
One year ago today, the Minneapolis charter amendment to dismantle the states largest police force failed by double digits.
Keith Ellison not only backed this dangerous proposal, he was a key spokesperson.
This November, Minnesotans will reject his dangerous tenure as AG.
Calling it out for what it is:
Keith Ellison had four years to address gun violence. His solution was to defund the police and back organizations that bailed out violent criminals.
His extreme views have made us less safe. We can’t afford four more years with him as AG.
As Minnesotans saw in our debate last night, Keith Ellison likes to try to bully people. I will not be bullied, and I will not be intimidated.
I will fight for the people of Minnesota.
My experience is more wide ranging than Ellison.
I graduated the top of my class from Harvard law, worked at the Pentagon, and two of the most prestigious law firms in the world.
Thanks Ilhan. I know you and Keith are pals and together supported defunding and dismantling Minnesota’s largest police force, but I have a different point of view and so do about 80% of Minnesotans.
Seriously man, do you even understand how the office you are running for works?
County attorneys not the AG prosecute violent crime.
AG’s office can’t get involved unless the county attorney REQUESTS their help.
Please do some homework and get back yo us with real arguments.
The problem with Tim Walz isn’t occasional mistakes.
The problem is his destructive, San Francisco-style policies.
Minnesota needs leaders who reject far-left extremism.
Students and families can’t even enjoy a high school football game due to the violence in our state.
We have an Attorney General who advocated to defund the police and has emboldened violent criminals across Minnesota. It can’t continue any longer.
We’re leading in this race because Minnesotans know Keith Ellison has been MIA on public safety.
But we cannot let our foot off the gas. We only have 6 full days to reach voters before Election Day.
Volunteer and donate to help turn out the vote! 🗳
Molly and I casted our votes this morning!
We’ve been leading this race in the polls, but nothing is certain unless you get out and vote. Let’s restore public safety to Minnesota!
I’m honored to announce endorsements from 22 of Minnesota’s sheriffs. Together they represent almost 2.5 MILLION Minnesotans.
We will never stop fighting for the safety and security of ALL!
Keith - I see you are endorsed by the attorney for Feeding Our Future.
Did you fail to stop Feeding Our Future fraud because of incompetence or because you wanted the endorsements and campaign contributions?
Minnesotans want to know!
That's a lot of tweets to avoid answering a simple question:
Did you allow $250 million of taxpayer dollars to be funneled to a nonprofit you knew was fraudulent?
For the last two years, the AGO worked closely with MDE & our law enforcement partners to hold Feeding Our Future accountable.
W/o the AGO & MDE, there would be no indictments.
Here's how the AGO & MDE helped the federal gov't secure 49 indictments & earn the FBI's praise:
Although the race for Attorney General had not been formally called, the results were clear, and I have reached out to congratulate Keith Ellison on his victory.
Keith should not only lose this election for his reckless embrace of the Defund the Police movement, he should spend the rest of his career apologizing to Minnesotans.
I’ve never hired those political consultants who tell you what to say.
I just tell the truth — that an AG backing defunding the police is a disgrace.
The crime he has allowed to consume Minnesota is an outrage and a moral catastrophe. I’ll continue to tell the truth as AG.
Update on Trooper Ryan:
From court filings we now know that Moriarty's handpicked use-of-force expert described Trooper Ryan's actions as "reasonable", saying that Trooper Ryan "committed no crime."
Moriarty must drop this sham prosecution now.
The conduct of Keith Ellison’s office throughout the Feeding Our future saga, is simply a disgrace
Keith Ellison must provide answers to the people of Minnesota.
The DFL legislative agenda is the most extreme in MN history:
- No serious action on public safety
- Abortion on demand until birth
- Tax hikes on the working class
- Energy mandates that will bankrupt families
Minnesotans deserve better.
Bizarre.
Mary Moriarty’s unjust prosecution of Trooper Ryan is already falling apart.
Moriarty has an unhinged hostility to cops and remarkable sympathy for the most violent criminals. She should resign.
Rumor has it that a bunch of partisan DFL attorneys will have an ad in the Star Tribune this weekend supporting Keith Ellison. Someone needs to tell them that no one cares.
I’m a 5th generation Minnesotan who comes from a small farm community called South Haven, population 186.
I won’t forget about the little guy. You’ll all have an advocate in the AG’s Office.
In Minnesota 40% of gun criminals
who are mandated to prison time don't receive it. An additional 10% receive below the mandatory minimum.
The first step to reducing gun violence is by holding violent criminals accountable for their actions.
I am likely supported by more men and women in law enforcement than any candidate for any office in the history of the state of Minnesota.
I will not allow Keith Ellison’s cronies to keep that fact from the people of Minnesota.
I’m going to be blunt, Keith Ellison has made our state less safe:
🚫 He is soft on crime
🚫 He supports defunding the police
🚫 He supports MFF for bailing out violent criminals
🚫 He doesn’t have a single endorsement from law enforcement
It’s disqualifying.
Nobody is questioning whether bad cops should be prosecuted. I would have prosecuted Derek Chauvin.
Minnesotans aren’t upset because of Chauvin’s prosecution. They are upset because of Ellison’s efforts to defund the police.
It has become more evident every day that Mary Moriarty is unfit and unhinged.
I am proud to say that I was one of those who saw that long before she was elected.
Update: Moriarty’s request for a gag order to suppress information regarding her unjust prosecution of Trooper Ryan has been denied.
To their shame, no media have covered the denial.
Bizarre.
Mary Moriarty’s unjust prosecution of Trooper Ryan is already falling apart.
Moriarty has an unhinged hostility to cops and remarkable sympathy for the most violent criminals. She should resign.
The Attorney General is responsible for overseeing Minnesota non-profits. Keith Ellison failed and it cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars.
The magnitude and lack of oversight cannot be overstated. This was the largest pandemic fraud in the entire country.
Now that there is an election, Keith Ellison is pretending to be tough on crime, but in the last year alone:
→ Violent crime is up 22%
→ Murder is up 9%
→ Rape is up 71%
→ Aggravated assault is up 34%
The people of Minnesota know the truth. He isn’t fooling anyone.
Keith Ellison ran an office funded by a billionaire, supported a 70% increase in the gas tax, and backed policies resulting in historic violent crime that hits the poor the hardest.
Call me crazy but that does not sound like the “People’s Lawyer.”
In Minneapolis alone there have been 55 drug overdoses in the first seven days of October.
Keith Ellison has been MIA on the drugs taking lives and destroying communities. We need leadership who will take action now.
How much does Keith Ellison care about violent crime?
Less than 3% of his attorneys are prosecuting violent crime.
Amidst the largest increase in violent crime in Minnesota’s history. It’s shameful and disqualifying.
Traveling all across Minnesota for the past year I’ve asked this question: Do you feel safer than you did four years ago?
Not a single person has answered yes to that question yet.
It’s time for change.
I’m endorsed by more men and women on law enforcement than any candidate in Minnesota’s history.
Meanwhile the current AG is unable to get the endorsement of the previous two AGs of his own party. There is a reason Mike Hatch and Lori Swanson are sitting out.
Another shooting at the fair. We are not meant to live like this. We must have responsible leadership that holds violent criminals accountable and partners with police to end the violence!
More facts about Jim Schultz:
→ Graduated from Harvard Law with honors
→ Worked in the Pentagon’s legal department
→ Worked for two of the world’s top law firms
→ Represented many clients pro bono, including a disabled veteran
→ Endorsed by Minnesota’s police
Ellison was MIA on the case and the appeal that could have saved taxpayers tens of millions.
He was MIA on every significant effort to restore safety to our communities.
What did he show up for? Defunding police departments.
Minneapolis hasn’t been the same since the riots. Many of the businesses have not been rebuilt & are still boarded up.
Crime continues to run unchecked & Keith Ellison advocated to defund the police — he won’t even bother to debate these issues. Minnesotans deserve better.
DFL leaders are upset by the number of Sheriffs who have come out in support of my campaign.
Their support is unprecedented because Ellison is an unprecedented Attorney General. One who advocated to Defund the Police. Reckless and extreme.
I’m honored to have received the
@mngop
endorsement!
Thank you to the delegates for entrusting me to take on far-left AG Keith Ellison this November.
I won’t let you down.
And a special thank you to
@realtadjude
for your endorsement. We are going to win this in November!
The choice is simple:
Do you trust Keith Ellison to keep you and your family safe? His record says no.
While I have more support from law enforcement than ANY candidate in the history of Minnesota. GO VOTE!
Keith Ellison is at the center of the failure to stop hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars meant for kids’ lunches from being stolen. He must answer to Minnesotans.
With the polls officially closed, I want to thank our supporters. If you are still in line, don’t leave your polling location!
Your vote will be counted, and every single vote matters in a tight race like this.
I’m the Police-Endorsed candidate because they know Keith Ellison focuses on the rights of criminals instead of the rights of victims.
I will stand with police and victims.
Mary Moriarty, who hates all cops, originally stated that a use-of-force expert was critical.
After talking with the expert, she decided not to use him after all.
He likely didn’t tell her what she wanted to hear, so she dropped him and went ahead with charging Trooper Ryan…
Keith Ellison backed the MPLS charter amendment that the Star Tribune called a pathway to defunding the police.
Ellison should not only lose this election because of it. He should spend the rest of his career apologizing to MN for backing such a reckless and extreme proposal.
Every day Democrats reach out to our campaign to say they are voting for me. They want safe communities and a responsible Attorney General.
I will fight for every Minnesotan!
Keith Ellison bragging about his office prosecuting 50 cases over 4 years is absurd.
The house is on fire, and Ellison is patting himself on the back for bringing a Dixie cup of water.
The
@EllisonCampaign
has spent over $20,000 on 50 flights out of the state this year alone.
Maybe if Keith was in Minnesota more often he could have addressed the violent crime taking lives and destroying communities.
Minnesotans are fed up the public safety crisis engulfing our state and efforts by the radical left to defund and dismantle the police.
After we defeat AG Ellison in Nov, I will get the MN Attorney General’s Office back to the basics and restore public safety in our communities.
Keith Ellison didn’t have a law license when he ran for Attorney General last time and it shows.
Minnesota needs an Attorney General with relevant experience and a vision for remaking the office to serve Minnesotans. That’s what I’ll do.
One year ago today.
Keith Ellison wrote an op-ed in support of completely eliminating the state’s largest police department.
Minneapolis emphatically rejected this dangerous and reckless proposal. In November Minnesotans will reject Ellison’s radical tenure as Attorney General.
Violent crime is SOARING!
Under Keith Ellison’s leadership we’ve emboldened criminals. It’s time for an AG who will prioritize our safety over his dangerous policies.
Keith Ellison has been missing in action. Law enforcement has been living with the consequences of his failed leadership.
In November we will restore public safety to Minnesota once again.
Lies, lies, lies.
Keith simply can’t tell the truth about why he allowed continued payments to FOF. Maybe it was because he was receiving campaign contributions from the fraudsters.
Many are aware that Keith Ellison failed to protect taxpayers from the $250 million Feeding Our Future fraud (& lied about it).
Many forget there was an ADDITIONAL $130 million lost to flawed housing grants. He has no solutions to the fraud & abuse that plague MN non-profits.
