Donald Trump wants to pit us against our neighbors as he fails to deliver on his failed promises of making life more affordable. Minnesotans want to hear plans for lowering costs, not divisive rhetoric. We deserve better.

I joined our partners from Catholic Charities to serve some hot meals at Dorothy Day. In Minnesota, we’ll keep sticking up for our neighbors in need and the lifeline programs that keep so many out of hunger.

Trust for Public Land is turning asphalt playgrounds into vibrant green spaces to improve student education. It was an honor to join them for their inaugural summit, and to uplift their amazing work.

Our veterans, service members, and their families deserve the very best we can offer. Amid the ongoing threat to the food security, our administration is establishing a veteran food pantry network to ensure they have access to affordable, healthy food.

Veterans Day is an opportunity to honor those who have courageously served our state, country, and democracy. To the nearly 300,000 Minnesota veterans who served: thank you.

This school meal wasn’t just free, it was also nutrient-packed and Minnesota-grown! Our Farm to School program is supporting the farmers who nourish our communities and giving parents peace of mind that their kids are getting a strong, free meal each day at school.

50 years later, I’m joining Minnesotans in honoring and remembering the 29 lives lost in the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Thank you to the Hindu Society of Minnesota for welcoming me into your temple. Our South Asian community continues to contribute to the vibrant fabric of Minnesota.

I’m grateful that folks are starting to see SNAP benefits back on their EBT cards. Trump will do anything to keep Minnesotans hungry, we’ll keep doing everything we can to keep them fed.

Everyone deserves access to affordable, healthy food options - no matter their zip code. Little Earth Urban Farm is doing incredible work to make that a reality for the Urban Native community in Minneapolis.

For the second year in a row, Minnesota saw a drop in overdose deaths and hospitalizations, with opioid overdoses dropping by 32%. Minnesotans dealing with addiction deserve support, respect, and dignity - and we’re making the investments to back that.

We know that when Tribal Nations thrive, Minnesota thrives - and our Tribal Liaisons are critical in making that idea a reality. Miigwech to all these folks who work every day to ensure the State of Minnesota is setting an example on Tribal-state relations.

While we just announced $4 million for Minnesota food shelves, the Trump Administration is cutting off funding that keeps 440,000 Minnesotans out of hunger. Despite a contingency fund our tax dollars pay in to, they want to see our neighbors go hungry.
