At Christmas we mark the birth of Christ. A wonderful story of hope, humility and peace at the most special time of year. Christmas is a time for making merry and seeing friends, but more than anything, it’s about family. That’s why, to those working tomorrow and spending time

Getting so many messages from farmers! This is their victory. They work long hours, take real risks, and pass something on to the next generation. They don’t want favours, just fairness. An extra special thanks to the strong @Conservatives team @VictoriaAtkins & @_RobbieMoore who

This is fantastic news. The majority of the local farms in my constituency are small family farms. I’m relieved the government has finally seen sense but why they had to put farmers and the rural community through the uncertainty and stress they’ve experienced is beyond me.

BREAKING: Labour have rowed back again on their Family Farm Tax and Family Business Tax, sneaking out an announcement two days before Christmas while Parliament isn’t sitting. They have put families through hell, only to water down their proposals at the last minute after

Banning trail hunting is not about animal welfare, it is about Keir Starmer’s weak leadership and a vain attempt to manage his unruly backbenchers. It is yet another assault on the rural way of life by this government.

It’s been an open secret in Westminster for weeks; no Defence Investment Plan this year. It was supposed to be delivered in the Autumn. Now Keir Starmer has ripped it up at the 11th hour to start again, having realised he can’t afford his own Strategic Defence Review. Shambles.

This is straightforwardly and demonstrably false. It is a lie. The Tories replaced Erasmus with Turing. Turing offers Europe's Erasmus countries + the rest of the world. No doors were shut: more than 200 additional ones were opened.

The Tories shut the door on young Brits going to Europe. Reform want to lock it for good.🔒 Well Labour’s reopening it. ✅ Erasmus is BACK, giving young people reason to celebrate. 🙌 🇬🇧🇪🇺

The government is set to pay £840 million a year for membership of Erasmus once the first-year discount ends. This is more than 10% of the entire £7.5 billion budget that the government spends on British universities per year. Truly the worst negotiators in history.

We use the term “Anti-Muslim hatred”. It makes clear the law protects Muslims. In this country, we have a proud tradition of religious freedom AND the freedom to criticise religion. The definition of “Islamophobia” she uses creates a blasphemy law via the back door if adopted.

Why are senior Conservatives finding it so hard to call out Islamophobia? Perhaps because the Conservatives still refuse to adopt the definition used by every other major political party in Britain. To tackle the scourge of Islamophobia, we must name it. https://t.co/yzbsFf5R9G

The Government committed to deliver the Defence Investment Plan in the Autumn, it won’t even be delivered this year. For Keir Starmer to now have concerns about “affordability”, given he agreed to all the recommendations in the Strategic Defence Review, shows it was all bluster.

Unemployment has risen every month under Labour. Starmer’s high tax, high spend, union-led government is crushing business, destroying jobs and killing growth. We must cut spending, live within our means and Get Britain Working Again.

Fourteen straight months of rising unemployment. No mystery. No global shock. Just a government that taxed jobs and killed growth. Only @Conservatives will get Britain working again.

I’m very much a green Conservative but I never understood how forcing people to move to EV squared for those who either can’t afford or aren’t able to easily charge an EV due to dense urban or rural living. Glad we’ve changed our mind on this.

If you do not want an electric car, you should not be forced to buy one. The next Conservative government will end the mandate on manufacturers forcing them to produce electric cars (even when there's no demand) and scrap Labour’s 2030 ban on new petrol and diesel cars.
