“…you only got your MP job because you’re a black”. At this point, you can only laugh at the daily invective of being labelled a ‘DEI hire’ by anonymous far right accounts.

So many questions for Nigel Farage. Rapid Deployment Cells only have a 15-year lifespan. What category are these prisons? Which available MOD sites will they be built on? Why use Royal Engineers Works Groups? How will the prisons be staffed? . And how much will it cost, all in?

As the Environment Secretary Steve Reed takes to the airwaves to announce what the Government is doing to tackle sewage, here’s Feargal Sharkey to outline how everything announced are existing policies announced by the Conservatives in 2022-23.

Well what an incredible morning this is going to be. Labour govt trumpeting a long list of stuff they claim they've done to deal with the water industry. Tories say they just nicked their old policies, thing is the Tories are right. Example. 1. All sewage overflows to have

I dont agree with votes at 16, but this decision opens a whole range of questions for Labour. If you can vote at 16, why shouldn’t you be able to drive a car, buy alcohol or cigarettes, marry without parental consent or serve on operations in the armed forces?. So why not those?

It is unconscionable to think that strike action by Junior doctors has contributed to patient deaths. This shows the looming strike action will cost lives. Those responsible for neglecting their responsibilities, leading to patient deaths, should face the strongest sanctions.

We saw yesterday during the debate how potentially divided Labour are over the danger of leaving Northern Ireland veterans open to prosecution. Al Carns is a good man and I’m not surprised to see him on resignation watch taking a principled stance in opposition to this policy.

EXC: Veterans minister on resignation watch over Troubles legacy plans. Alistair Carns has told Hilary Benn, the Northern Ireland secretary, that he cannot support proposals to repeal the law that gives servicemen immunity from prosecution.

This afternoon I spoke as Parliament debated the Government’s plans to repeal legislation that will see our Northern Ireland veterans pursued through the courts. Repealing this legislation will allow the IRA to rewrite history. We must stand by our veterans.

“We had planned to double the budget of our armies by 2030. We will do so by 2027.”. Puts our 0.2% increase in defence spending into perspective doesn’t it. I wonder if Macron gave Starmer the heads up about this last week?.

NEW: GDP figures see dramatic drop to -0.1% in March. This adds to the worries families already face from the cost of living crisis. If the PM and Cabinet come back from their Away Day in Staffordshire today with anything less than an Emergency Budget, they will have failed.

A 0.3% contraction in April followed by a 0.1% contraction in May with the Bank of England warning that underlying growth remains weak. Labour’s reckless choices are not just stunting growth but taking the economy backwards. Tax-rises in Rachel Reeves’ budget look inevitable.

Huge congratulations to Labour who, having so confidently announced they would “Smash the Gangs™”, will today announce that of the 30,000+ illegal migrants who’ve entered since they took office, 50 ‘could’ now be swapped with France, who have been paid £209m this year alone.
