Always good to catch up with Robert Martin & George Dunn from the Tenant Farmers Association in Westminster - to talk through the current challenges facing our tenanted sector. The IHT changes are causing huge uncertainty for many tenant farmers - and that, coupled with the

False and dangerous. In West Yorkshire alone, the Casey Audit identified a clear āover-representation of people of Asian ethnic background (roughly double) and disproportionately under-representation of people of White ethnicity (roughly half)ā in grooming gang suspects (p.84)
For those at the back of the room - there's no link between grooming gangs, any particular race, religion or culture! To pretend that being called out for echoing Reform is somehow being attacked is a very shallow way of trying to avoid scrutiny. Apologies needed for this

Today, I urged @ShabanaMahmood and @annelongfield to immediately launch a targeted local inquiry across Keighley and the Bradford District. Time is of the essence and the Casey Audit is clear that local investigations can commence sooner in areas where the Home Office agree

Grooming gang survivors have been denied appropriate support and help for decades. Its important the government starts to address this issue immediately, this shouldnt wait untill an inquiry is done. It could and should be done along side.
āGrooming gang survivors have been failing for decades.ā Survivor Fiona believes that more support needs to be rolled out for grooming gang survivors and victims to begin to āhealā and that the inquiry needs to remain ālaser focusedā. šŗ Freeview 236, Sky 512, Virgin 604

The governmentās response to my concerns: āWe expect this to be the caseā - As always, a very-long winded way of saying no. Not good enough. The government is not even getting the basics right

The Baroness Casey Audit published in June made it very clear āLocal authorities, police forces and other relevant agencies should in the meantime be required not to destroy any relevant records.ā (p.51) So why has this not been acted on?

šØNEW: The government has failed to instruct police forces & councils to protect key grooming gang records before the national inquiry begins.Ā One the most basic safeguards imaginable and they still havenāt acted.Ā Hereās what Iāve found š

Brilliant to be in Lincoln this morning speaking with many farmers, rural businesses, industry leaders, accountants, solicitors, bank managers and many other rural stakeholders at Brown & Coās Winter Seminar chaired by Charlie Bryant. Now more than ever is certainty and clarity

It doesnāt make sense⦠Just 3% of the British public think Labourās budget will makethem better off. Yet Labour MPs are out on TV absolutely loving it. It is getting clearer by the day⦠This budget was never meant to please hardworking taxpayers. It was meant to please

Heartless. A year of anxiety, uncertainty and desperate pleas from our farming community. And yet continued ignorance to those pleas from the Prime Minister and Chancellor, who have actively chosen to oversee the decline of British food and farming with their family farm tax

Chasing goals that change lives. That's exactly what Notre Dame soccer player Daniel Boateng is doing. Through his nonprofit, he is using soccer as a bridge to affordable education for kids in Ghana.
