as the 2 year lease ends this month at £11k it’s the most I’ve spent on a car purchase in over 25 years but I’m expecting it to last another ten years so that’s £100pm plus the savings over petrol as long as I can find public charging less than 50p/kWh
I often hear people say that no one would buy a 2nd hand EV, there aren’t any 2nd hand EVs etc etc

irony is that no one uses them during the day now as most people charge at home overnight for less than 10p/kwh so charging while shopping at 7kw for 44p/kwh is pointless so the one time these could be useful is nighttime for those without home charging when the car park is empty

It’s an obvious combination plus solar panels are so cheap now £60 + vat per 415w panel if you have south facing garden it’s a no brainer 4 panels on a shed for £240 + vat ! :)

Visiting a friend who has 15kwh of battery storage & solar panels ¬ exporting. in theory could go completely off grid but won’t just in case he needs back up but he uses about 0.75kw/day which cost about 20p but he’s penalised for being a low user with 60p/day standing charge

£350 !? The devil is always in the detail this COULD be good news for those without offstreet parking but it’s handing over the purse strings to local authorities who have time & again proven to be mostly inept at helping those on lower incomes enjoy the benefits of EV ownership
