I’ve been an EV driver for years. I have two apps. One is for for my car, which does brilliant things like help me manage my charging remotely and pre-heat it on cold winter mornings. The second is Zap Map. And that’s it.
More complete and utter bollocks from the Daily Mail. The headline is a flagrant lie. Drivers aren’t *forced* to download 30+ apps. In almost every case, the app is an added-value choice. You don’t *need* it. For the vast majority of rapid chargers, you just need a bank card FFS.

Lots of opinion about the dreadful Rowan Atkinson piece in todays papers. Here’s one for everyone who thinks synthetic fuel is the answer. e-fuels emit the same amount of NOx pollution as fossil fuels, so using e-petrol in our cars will have little impact on poor air quality.

I think the term is ‘fully loaded’! .Off on my first road trip in the @SKODAUK Enyaq. Efficiency has been great so far, I’m getting around 325 miles from a full charge. It’ll be interesting to see how it fares on the run to Cornwall as it’s carrying a lot of extra weight!

‘Charger rage’ is sadly a reality. With no system for queuing, chargers that don’t deliver anywhere near the output they advertise & patchy, unreliable infrastructure we have a long way to go. Time to take the focus off the number of chargers & address some of these issues! ⚡️
