It’s a shame. At Oxford Services there are EVs queuing and waiting to use one of the 2 Gridserve chargers (only 50kw?), meanwhile across the car park the Tesla chargers….

(recovered energy when slowing down by using motor as a generator instead of friction brakes)
That’s about the same as an average uk house would have used in 8 years.

To put in context, average UK house uses UPTO 10kw a day.
Can you give me examples of what 150kwh can be used for?
Eg. With my 212wh/mi efficiency in a model 3 Long Range yesterday, 150kwh would get me 707 miles!

I’ll plug it in now, first time since last Thursday. To cover 260 miles using 82% over the course of several days including multiple cold starts, school runs, commuting etc I think is pretty darned decent!

Guy Martin says 50 miles a day is all an EV is good for 😡
So for my next trip (the next day) of nearly 400 miles I left behind my Tesla, Taycan and Etron GT and used a simple Corsa-E to show it is no problem. Share/like to prove the point!

We’re a couple of weeks short of 6 months and by the end of this month the savings will be c. £12,000. So = £24k a year.
It cost me £46,000 but then I saved 20% capital allowance so actually it’s only £38,400 “cost”
So actually, just over 18 months “payback” !!!😁🤷♂️👌
