I have decided to start my own EV sports car company. I just need a few billion $ in loans and I will build the below. It's called 'VAB', or Very Angry Banana. Its EV with 2000km of range, 0-60 time of 0.5s and only costs 50p. (I generated the image using AI - looks good right?)

So this slipped completely under my radar - Toyota EV available in Japan for $14k USD, or about 3 Wuling MiniEVs. C+Pod EV has a 9.06 kwh battery and a range of 93 miles.

The price of a Shanghai number plate for ICE cars has shot up by £5k this week. It’s now £15k for a number plate. You have to be MAD to buy a petrol car in Shanghai. EV plates are still free (for now).

Today I am thinking about the eGolf. Simple, unfussy, lots of buttons and to be honest it's 99% of the EV that I need/want. Tart it up with some Golf GTI bits & smart wheels and I'm sold. About 7-8k GBP here. VW should just keep making these with better range.

I’m being mighty tempted to get this. It’s an electric refit of the old Maruti/Suzuki Alto built in China, to buzz around Shanghai in. It’s about £800 on the second hand market and about 150km of range (on a good day). This car is only about 3/4 years old.
