-Last night Greens got elected by whipping up Pakistani voters against India, now this. -As well as ending mass immigration we need to crush sectarianism and recreate a united Britain. -And If some people don't want to be part of Britain - it's time for them to leave.
The Churchill statue in Parliament Square has been defaced overnight with "Zionist war criminal" and other graffiti. My colleague who took the photo says the statue is covered on all sides. It is cordoned off and being cleaned, it seems.

Labour Together paid £36,000 to Apco, a US public affairs firm to discredit The Sunday Times’s reporting by falsely suggesting its journalists might be part of a Russian conspiracy. If Reform or the Tories did this, Labour would call it “fascism”. Labour are sinister hypocrites.

This is Starmer’s official response to the stagnant growth figures: ‘Today’s GDP figures show our economy is growing … we are heading in the right direction.’ It is a baffling, incredible, frankly unbelievable response, suggesting he’s now living on another planet. Planet
Labour was elected in July 2024 with an overriding promise to accelerate economic growth. We now now have its record for its first full calendar year, 2025: Q1: 0.7% Q2: 0.2% Q3: 0.1% Q4: 0.1% So, far from stimulating the economy, the dead hand of Starmer-Reeves has knocked the

@TwisterFilm I don't know him personally, but Labour women angry and baffled about why exactly he was deemed to be someone with lots to contribute to the H of Lords? (The same one Starmer pledged to reform - and has so far elevated over 90 people to in 18 months) 🤷🏼♀️ Answers on a postcard?

It is the end of days for Keir Starmer's premiership. All that remains to be determined is exactly how and when the curtain comes down.

Can journos stop saying McSweeney ‘master-minded’ the 2024 election win. It was a political gimme. Like my son ‘master-minding’ his painting ending up on the fridge.

The support package being announced today, is far too little and too late. Firstly, it's only for pubs and an average of 2.2k a pub, which won't even touch the sides. But why ignore the rest of Hospitality, restaurants, cafe, hotels, live music venues etc? The Chancellor just

Trump is so completely a businessman and not a politician that there's literally no world leader that can deal with him on his terms. If they dealt with him as if it's a business deal, we'd have none of this nonsense. We urgently need stronger leadership. BBC News -

This is a great read from an economist, trade expert and former advisor to the Department for International Trade, on why a Customs Union with the EU is a stupid idea for multiple reasons - and why we should focus on things like the CPTPP instead.
New blog post! It's on why Britain should not rejoin the EU Customs Union. Instead 🇬🇧 should make striking a trade deal with Mercosur a priority for 2026 and encourage 🇪🇺 to join CPTPP. https://t.co/yiteys3q2S

BREXIT BENEFITS - A FRONT PAGE SPREAD If the Independent was just a smidge less partisan and activist about their content, then maybe this is what their front page could have looked like this morning, instead of the hodgepodge of contradictory nonsense they went with.
