🚨FIFTY BREXIT BENEFITS - MEGATHREAD🚨
I have collated 50 tangible Brexit benefits, fully evidenced and demonstrably true.
Some may not like that they exist - but that doesn't change the fact that they do.

How to create a narrative:
1. Say something is going to happen
2. Watch it not happen
3. Claim you stopped it happening
4. Claim victory over your fictional adversary
Brian Cox said this morning that leaving the EU has caused "catastrophic damage" to the UK economy.
Could someone perhaps point out the "catastrophic damage" on the graph below?
Is funny - I don't recall there being MULTIPLE F**KING DAILY STABBINGS when I was a kid in the 80s.
Almost as if something has changed about the culture of our nation. Wonder what it could possibly be.
Angela Rayner is really struggling on TV this morning. On BBC Breakfast, which is the underarm throw of journalism. Keeps trying to pivot away from difficult questions, by repeating "14 years" over and over again.
Its your problem now Angela. Out of your depth.
Labour are having a very bad day today already and it's not even 11am
- Car crash Rayner interview on BBC
- Massive migrant arrivals yesterday
- Four Welsh ministerial resignations
Really didn't take long at all for the wheels to fall off, did it!
I see that
@PeterTatchell
wants to "Thank
#Brexit
Voters" for needing a €7 visa-waiver every three years, from 2025 onwards.
Not to pat myself on the back, but I've got a few things I'd like to thank Brexit voters for as well, if you'll indulge me.
A Thread🧵

So the Bank of England knew that it was them that caused the issues with the UK economy in Q3 2022, and not the contents of the Truss / Kwarteng budget.
So why didn't they admit that at the time, hold their hands up and say the attacks on the government were wrong?
Hi
@AngelaRayner
In Jan 2022 you said that a foreign secretary using the govt A321 jet to Australia was "obscene", "brazen" and a "disgusting waste" of taxpayer money for "vanity and comfort".
Today your Foreign Secretary used the SAME DAMN PLANE to fly to India.
Hypocrite.
Important note.
A lot of noise is being made about how the six men who tragically died off the French coast were Afghanis, who would've likely been eligible for asylum in the UK.
The French coastguard have said they were Afghanis, based on what the other migrants told them.
The UK is not in a recession.
The Eurozone, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Lithuania and Hungary are all in a recession.
Please do by all means keep telling me that the UK is somehow worse. Go right ahead.
As the EU's own data says otherwise.
In tribute to
@Rob_Kimbell
, who sadly passed away after a short illness yesterday.
Many of you will know that Rob posted every weekday lots of good news about UK businesses and the UK economy.
So for the next hour I will do the same.
Rest in Peace Rob.

The UK - a country where Labour MPs now feel the need to give campaign speeches in Urdu.
They're not trying to speak to you, because they don't want to speak for you.
This isn't normal. None of this is normal.
Urdu: A summer general election is set for July 4th!
I will be standing to be re-elected as the parliamentary candidate for Bradford West.
Support my campaign to help me continue to be a strong and out-spoken voice for Bradford West.
Why is the BBC continuing the lie that the man arrested for the murder of Kulsuma Alter is "from Oldham", when he is in the UK on a student visa and is actually from Bangladesh?
We're barely two weeks after the election, and we already have government ministers having to apologise for lying on their register of financial interests.
A *Treasury* Minister no less.
Grown ups now in charge?? Really??
Watch these junior doctor strikes magically disappear after Labour gets elected, without getting the money they are demanding.
Just watch.
You're being played for fool by unions, intent on affecting the outcome of elections and getting their team in.
This needs to stop.
He is the f*cking Prime Minister of a nuclear power.
The notion that he is just a normal guy that can just jump on a commuter train is for the birds. He isn't.
This isn't a pro-Rishi tweet - I would say exactly the same for *any* PM from *any* party.
🚁Uh oh, he's done it again. Rishi Sunak took a helicopter for the 70-mile journey to Kent to promote his small boats policy this morning. It would have taken him an hour on the train....
Does anyone actually believe millionaire Keir Starmer, when he says he'd sit and watch his kids die rather than use private healthcare?
Seriously. Does *anyone* believe him? Anyone? Anyone at all?
TANGIBLE BREXIT BENEFITS: 18 MONTHS LATER 🧵
In March 2022, I was asked to provide 10 "Tangible Benefits" of leaving the EU. So over the course of a lunch break I wrote a list of 10 and sent it over.
Since then it has been shared thousands of times, and even made the press.
So what have we learnt?
Marina - 1.5/5
Jacob - 5/5
Despite Marina repeatedly labelling Jacob a liar throughout this appearance, every single thing he said was true, and she said more things that were lies that those that were true.
So Marina is the liar. Not Jacob.
18/18 END
Kemi Badenoch on Brexit:
"Far from turning their backs on the UK, companies are queuing up to invest here. The UK is on the up and remains a country others want to deal with"
"Global Britain is here and it’s thriving"
#UKTrade
All I want is a smidgen of consistency in political arguments.
For example.
If Boris Johnson is to blame for the parties held by civil servants when he wasn't even there, as "the buck stops with him".
Then Keir Starmer is to blame for the inaction of the CPS against Jimmy
@Anna_Soubry
I'd like to think that you were better than this Anna - but sadly that isn't true is it.
You know damn well that the UK was never in the Schengen zone, and so UK arrivals to France have *always* had to have their passports checked. Always.
Are you really this pathetic?
It has now been a week, 7 full days, where not a single migrant has arrived into the UK by small boat, as recorded by the MoD and the Royal Navy.
7 full days. Not a single migrant.
The Rwanda agreement, as a deterrent, is working. Lets keep it that way.
National Insurance Contributions fund state pensions and the NHS.
So will the Prime Minister’s £46 billion of unfunded tax cuts come from cutting state pensions or cuts to our NHS?
#PMQs
@omid9
That you personally have decided that someone's perfectly legitimate views are tantamount to racism, when they're not, is the problem here.
You want someone's views to be silenced, so you declare them as fitting into a category that they don't, in order to try and achieve it.
@adilray
Hi Adil
I would like a better life. Please give me your house and your car.
Make sure you give them to me in a civil and humane way.
Also I'd like your salary too. Again, in a civil and humane way.
Chop chop.
@GaryLineker
Not allowing UK citizens to go through eGates is a political choice made by EU member states, not a consequence of Brexit.
One that Spain, Portugal, Italy and others have already reversed.
You do not need to be in the EU to use eGates. It is a political choice. Nothing more.
'You've just become the Deputy PM, and the first thing you decide to do is fly off to Italy.'
Why didn't you post this
@ThatTimWalker
? As whats good for the goose is good for the gander, right?
Seriously
@BBCNews
- what are you playing at?
Every major international news outlet has covered the impending accession of the UK to the
#CPTPP
, except you. The national news broadcaster.
What is wrong with you? It is impossible for you to have missed it.
God this is tedious.
Debate in HoC about the Knowsley violence outside the asylum hotel, and nearly every Labour MP comment is that it is Suella Bravermans language that caused it.
They simply do not have a clue about what is going on in the country do they.
Andrew Neil & Jon Ashworth on C4 last night
AN: "What was the fastest growing economy last year in the G7?"
JA: "Well we were one of the slowest in the G7..."
AN: "Who was the fastest..."
JA: "You'll have to remind me..."
AN: "Well actually...it was the United Kingdom"
An interesting article here.
Germany says that Brexit has been an economic disaster for them in terms of import/export with the UK - having seen a 14% drop in exports of goods to the UK since 2016.
The UK hasn't seen the same level of decline, so the trade balance is actually

@carolvorders
Since you've been so very vocal about your concerns on journalistic impartiality on our TV screens, you're no doubt appalled by the Home Secretary being interviewed this morning by her husband and former Labour MP?

With the news about BoJo in the last 48 hours, i've noticed a resurgence in the volumes of people posting that the UK had the highest covid death rate in Europe.
For the record - no it didn't. The UK *never* had the highest covid death rate in Europe.
The volume of crybabies on here today about signing the
#CPTPP
agreement - it is a joy to behold.
As they know it is another very big nail in the coffin of their deluded hopes to rejoin the EU.
Cheers!
This is a fascinating look at how the mind of a remoaner operates.
Lorraine feels like the EU now treats her and other British visitors like "untermensch" - and she wants to apologise to them, for them treating her so badly.
The treatment of Brits at EU airports is a choice.
“I’m fed up with going away to Europe and apologising…you feel embarrassed.”
Lorraine Kelly says queues at passport control post-Brexit make her feel like a “untermensch.”

Starmer in 2016:
Only 17 million people voted to leave the EU, they should vote again as I wanted a different outcome.
Starmer in 2024:
Over 9 million people voted for my party, so we have a mandate from all four corners of the UK.
Since I've seen multiple people claim that Brexit made their food more expensive.
Can someone please show me on the graph, where Brexit made their food more expensive?
You'll love this one

If it is "Tory MP Imran Khan" when he had the whip removed, then it is also "Labour MP Claudia Webbe" and "Labour MP Jeremy Corbyn" and "Labour MP Fiona Onasanya".
Let's have a little consistency in our reporting eh, shall we UK press.
Same for same please.
So Priti Patel refers specifically to intelligence that shows Russian agents may try to enter the UK as Ukrainian refugees, and that this is why visa security checks are still required.
Labour and SNP response - why don't you just drop the visa checks.
Were they not listening??
Well.
I've read all 48 pages of the Tolley report on Raab's accusations of bullying, and I didn't see a single thing in there that isn't the norm in the private sector.
Didn't do your job? Don't expect a thank you.
As many of you will have seen over the weekend, the trade deal negotiations between the EU and Australia have broken down after five years of talks.
It could now be years before they even start up again, let alone complete.
Years where the UK will have a sizable advantage over
Week 4 of the new Labour government, and calls for Yvette Cooper to resign as Home Secretary (over her lack of support for the Greater Manchester Police) are trending here on X.
She demanded Braverman resign under the same circumstances - so is she a hypocrite too?
I think about this clip from time to time.
Where British representatives go to a foreign government, to ask them to negotiate in bad faith.
If there was ever a need for a modern example of treasonous behaviour, this was it. All caught on camera.
“What would help the Remain side in the UK, is if the EU can be very very tough and uncompromising to make the British people regret voting to Leave EU”
AC Grayling when he met with Guy Verhofstadt.
One important thing about CPTPP membership that seems to have been lost.
The UK got there first. The first non-founder country to accede.
Six more countries formally in the queue. Many more have stated they plan to join.
The UK will get a vote and a veto on them all.
So when
Remember when
@Keir_Starmer
said that lawbreakers couldn't be lawmakers, and we said at the time that he would eat those words?
Here is Emily Thornberry breaking the law (81mph).
So I assume she will be resigning, since she cannot be a lawmaker anymore?
Thems the rules, yeah?
You should really ask yourself the obvious question.
If Labour think they can turn around the waiting times in England so easily, why haven't they done so in Wales?
Fascinating to watch the massive u-turn from Keir Starmer at PMQs on immigration.
The man who passionately argued for keeping Freedom of Movement, now saying that immigration is holding down the wages of British workers.
Thats the Brexit argument chief!
Captain Flip-Flop 🤡
So here's my 2p on the Keir Starmer / Jimmy Savile comment.
Starmer was the director of the CPS at the time.
So if you want to hold Johnson responsible for the actions of those working for him during lockdown.
Then you also need to hold Starmer responsible in the same way.
@martindvz
Erm. Martin.
The UK *does* have a Free Trade Agreement with the EU, that allows our businesses to trade freely to and from continental Europe.
It's called the UK-EU TCA, and it is a zero tariff and zero quota FTA.
It is EXACTLY what Grayling said would happen.

Remember the whole argument about whether or not an EU member state is sovereign?
Yesterday the EU referred Sweden to the CJEU for failing to fully implement what it was told to do.
Doesn't sound very sovereign to me.
There are 60 good reasons in the below thread, to be thankful for leaving the EU.

@jessicaelgot
Jan '22 - you publish an article about Labour's condemnation for Truss using govt plane to fly to Australia for AUKUS talks.
Earlier today Lammy used the same damn plane to fly to India for FTA talks.
You gonna call out the hypocrisy? No?

What a surprise.
"Bank of England boss Andrew Bailey set to stage U-turn as he is expected to row back on 'grossly exaggerated' forecasts about UK's looming recession"

In 2012, the French economy was 99% of the size of the UK economy.
In 2022, the French economy was 90% of the size of the UK economy.

Labour MP admitting that in her 9 years as an MP for Bristol West, she has prioritised working on issues raised by asylum seekers, over the people who actually voted for her.
"Vote for me and i'll ignore you" - strong message there Thangam.
Maybe these people don’t know but I prioritised casework for asylum seekers, family reunion visas and other immigration casework in my 9 years as MP for Bristol West. Home Office officials regularly said I had the largest immigration caseload in the country. That was a choice.4/8
Oh Labour are having a stinker of a day.
- Putting out videos of people claiming to be lapsed Tories, who are actually Labour councillors
- Putting out letter with endorsements from businesses who aren't actually active
Seems lying through their teeth is the strategy.
Labour’s letter from business is already in tatters as it’s revealed they’ve stuffed it with dormant companies.
No wonder real businesses don’t want to back Labour when they want to import French-style union laws to hike up costs by £1,250 per employee a year.
Amazing - this Labour MP better hope he still has a job in the morning, seeing as he just stated on live TV that his boss and party leader committed a criminal act by negotiating with a foreign power when not legally empowered to do so.
Q: ‘What you’re saying is that Keir Starmer has negotiated a secret deal with Emmanuel Macron, is that right?’
A: ‘What he’s doing is he’s negotiated a deal with him.’
Canadian PM Trudeau flew into London earlier today.
Guess what kind of plane he took.
That's right - a Canadian government one, bought and catered to the job, just like the UK govt use.
Let the outrage ensue. How dare he not use commercial flights etc.
@guyverhofstadt
The British people don't want to rejoin Guy - why not instead spend your time on things you are actually responsible for, instead of meddling in the politics and affairs of other nations.

UK Accession to CPTPP Agreed!!
Announcement will be made on Thursday evening, that the UK has been accepted as the 12th member of the

Wow.
Labour MP and government minister, Jess Phillips, thinks that her Palestinian NHS doctor at a recent A&E visit gave her preferential treatment over other patients, due to her position on the war in Gaza.
So now we have a two-tier NHS too. Great.
So the Labour candidate for Wellingborough stands for:
- Open borders
- Unilateral nuclear disarmament
- Public ownership of all banks
- Second Brexit referendum
No one in their right minds should vote for this combination of beliefs into Parliament right now.
Same old Labour.
Meanwhile
London has been ranked as the world’s most high-tech city - snatching the top spot from New York

No sign of an EU city...
So an EU commissioned report says that the EU needs to collectively spend an *additional* €800 Billion a YEAR, in order to combat the decline of the union and its member states.
Who's paying that money? Not the UK!
You glad you left yet?

Oh what a f**king surprise.
"Britain’s rental crisis is being driven by record net migration as housing supply fails to keep pace with a growing population, according to new analysis"
I cannot oversell the value I have found in regularly reading newspapers from other EU countries.
The volume of anti-UK guff we are sold by our media here is off the scale, and presented completely out of context with what is happening elsewhere.
I'll keep sharing what I can 👍
Well, buckle up people - as its day 7 and we've already got prisoners being released early, migrants being welcomed with open arms, and now energy security being completely trampled.
All while the mainstream media are rubbing their thighs and wetting themselves.

If the UK was still a member of the EU, its core net contribution to the EU budget would be in the vicinity of €14-16 Billion (12.5% of annual EU budget, minus rebates).
That's money that can now be spent on UK priorities instead.
#ThanksBrexit
So we know that both Kier Starmer and Anas Sarwar own poppies - and we know that they've worn them in public.
But we also know that they both chose not to wear the poppy, when talking about Islamophobia. From all appearances, choosing to take them off.
