My dog has been sick this week w/ gastro issues & today we gave her a bath. It noticeably improved her spirits. We pampered her. Shampoo, trimming hair, blow dry. She finally slept after a long week of crying & restlessness & attacked her dinner w/ gusto.

A close friend had an ectopic pregnancy carrying twins, one in the fallopian tube, the other in the uterus. Without emergency surgery, she and her future daughter (now 18 years old) would have died along with the embryo. This is horrific.

My best friend was pregnant w/ a much wanted child. A few weeks in, it was discovered that there was a previously unknown twin ectopically planted in her fallopian tube. Emergency surgery saved her & her now 19 yo daughter. Both would be dead without this surgery. Pro life, huh?

Nope. In November, we had a family funeral with a get together in a church basement. Everyone vaxxed. We had 5 cases, including my 84 aunt. Happily, no one was seriously ill (thanks vaccine) Was so stressful worrying about my family, esp my 97 yo dad that got exposed.

I learned from my late little partially paralyzed dachshund that dogs know gratitude. She needed a lot of help from going up a stair to being picked up to go places, to needing her bladder expressed to pee. (Her bladder was paralyzed). She always "thanked" me with a brief "kiss"

My son ended up unemployed or underemployed during Trump's pandemic & I was able to keep him insured.
Under Biden, he's landed a great job as a Software Quality Control Engineer & is doing well. I was grateful for the ACA, he takes some expensive meds for a lifelong condition.
