Our new study shows that SARS-CoV-2 spike protein accumulates & persists in the body for years after infection, especially in the skull-meninges-brain axis, potentially driving long COVID. mRNA vaccines help but cannot stop it🔬🧠🦠🧵👇@cellhostmicrobe https://t.co/IEGx7HIrXf

There are ~40k postdocs in the US, according to the NIH. While PhD students generally have good support (their committees, external advisors, and classmates), the postdocs do not. To help with this, we're starting the 'Postdoc Night Science' club with a first branch in NYC. ⬇️

The single greatest misunderstanding about science by the public is that scientists solve problems; in reality, scientists are primarily concerned with creating them.

Some might be surprised that the @NobelPrize in Physics 2024 goes to neural networks. However, our understanding of brains, intelligence, language, and AI is at the crossroads between theoretical computation, neuroscience & statistical physics. https://t.co/EAPPkwEWkL

Imagine if you woke up this morning and found that the NIH-funded database that holds all of the data that you and thousands of other scientists around the world consult every day was turned off. Gone. Despite many efforts by a community of scientists to lobby @NIH @NIHDirector
