Our study underscores the global challenge of azole-resistant Candida parapsilosis and its importance as the causative agent of nosocomial outbreaks. Clinicians should be aware of the evolving epidemiology of this pathogen, including rising prevalence of drug-resistant strains!

All the conclusions from the preprint thread are unchanged AND during the revision we discovered that the German outbreak clone is very closely related to drug-resistant strains responsible for an outbreak in Canada and to strains from Kuwait, Türkiye, and South Korea.
