Our Citizens' White Paper is the first piece of research to set out why, when & how participation should be embedded at the heart of national policy making. Deliverism and standards are important, but for the Prime Minister to resolve the Trust Crisis, participation will be key.

Important work from @pollycurtis @sarahcastell @MiriamLevin1 on how we open up the @UKLabour missions to participation. The challenge & risk of division is significant & I can’t see how we get there without explicitly and directly engaging v large numbers in them - great work 🙏
We recommend Citizens Panels feeding into Mission Boards; Citizens Assemblies on a small number of big intractable policy questions, or moral questions; community conversations and co-creation for service design. With a roadmap on how to get there:
