The arrest of Graham Linehan by armed officers at the airport, apparently over comments he made on X, is very troubling. Whatever one may think about his posts it's hard to see how such a heavy-handed response is justified or proportionate.

Refugees can still apply for family reunion under the family migration rules that apply to British citizens. Here sponsoring adult adult has to show they can support and house the family member and adults who are coming have to speak English at level A1.

These are merits in moving to a resettlement based system to protect refugees . Endangered people would be screened and given refugee status in or near their countries of origin, before being given a safe route to other countries. Big challenge = signing a new refugee treaty.

This is vile. I cannot see how anyone on the left at this time could think intimidating think tank workers and vandalising their workplace for having different politics is legit. This isn’t liberal. This isn’t democratic. This is, simply, wrong and should be condemned as such.
