The Sweat lab will be opening at UTSW, the Moss heart Center, in September!. Research topics include AFIB and cellular identity programs. I'm grateful for this opportunity, made possible by support from my family, amazing academic mentors, and the wonderful Moss Cntr. Faculty!.

Here we show that in addition to the repressor function of CHD4 as a component of the NuRD complex, it can also act as an activator through genomic recruitment by TBX5. CHD4 recruitment drives the atrial cardiomyocyte gene program and prevents Atrial Fibrillation.
