Our data suggest a simple peri-transplant change to β1-selective inhibitors (Carvedilol->Metoprolol) could mitigate this effect. Our findings were consistent @utswcancer and @VUMChealth, but validation at other centers promises to identify patients for whom this is most relevant.

Honored to contribute to this study by @SJMorrison_ and team. In patients undergoing allogeneic transplantation and receiving post-transplant cytoxan, the use of non-selective β-blockers may significantly delay engraftment and worsen survival.
