Bay Area Realtor here - It's the result of over a decade of not building or planning for more housing. Older people who want to downsize aren't incentivized to do so bc they will loose their tax base for property tax. Demand stays strong bc there is simply not enough housing.

I’m a white lady in SF with a young baby that pays taxes and no drug problem. Can barely get by here. Would I qualify for these funds if I dress up like a man and stick a needle in my arm? Could I get both the guaranteed income and the $$ city gives to drug addicts?

I know multiple closeted gay kids growing up in TX. Many of them feared being disowned by conservative parents. They ended up coming out to their parents and it was just fine. Never did a teacher get involved or keep a secret just btw them. That’s a recipe for pedofiles to thrive

My OB at Kaiser SF Geary refused in person for months during my 1st and 2nd tri. She shamed me each time “bc COVID!”. I finally switched to Kaiser RC and see dr in person each time. Tell your friend to switch, clearly the system has no protections to prevent Drs from doing this.

I checked out a daycare yesterday for my 8 month old. Staff still wear masks. Asked manager how kids will read emotion and learn language to which she insisted “kids can learn through the eyes”. Cut her off & said that’s a load of BS. She was shocked. Not sending my child there.

Just gave birth to my first kid in the US. It sucks that I’m running back to work so quickly bc of $$. Perhaps the larger problem is that being a stay at home parent isn’t paid/subsidized - even that it’s the most difficult jobs out there. IMO, this is the real problem in the US.
