Our @DenverDOTI will have dozens of meetings and outreach to put in a bike lane. Yet for changing a public space that has been around since 2020, they didn’t even send out an email to the community.

We have months or years of meetings when DOTI adds a bike lane. But DOTI has not had a single meeting or announcement when DOTI removes a bus lane. The double standard is real.
Is Johnson aware that DOTI is planning to remove a bus lane on 15th st, RTD’s most travelled corridor? Maybe she should speak up how that will affect on-time performance….

Today’s RTD meeting… in which the RTD CEO blamed buses being late on sharrows, bike lanes, and bollards. This is so far off the mark of reality.

Parts of the West 29th Avenue protected bike lane has been covered in snow and ice for a week even before tonight’s snow started. DOTI doesn’t care about keeping the road safe for people that bike.

We are hearing word that a student walking to Skinner Middle School was hit by a driver today & injured at 41st Ave & Federal. The student had a walk light & was in the crosswalk when the driver turned into them. Denver needs to get serious about funding Safe Routes to Schools.

Another fatal pedestrian hit and run crash on Colfax. CDOT roads are the most deadly in Denver because they are designed for speed.
UPDATE: This victim was pronounced overnight at the hospital. The motorist did not remain on scene and the investigation is ongoing to develop suspect information.
