No one said this to me when I had a mental health crisis almost a year ago. It’s astonishing how inept we are at addressing & helping people undergoing mental health issues in our society. Many people don’t believe mental health issues are real.

When people criticize me, they have no clue how hard I internalize it, pick it apart, and dissect it. And then obbsess about all the angles of what the person was trying to say. it sucks, but people who care should try to understand. i think, or maybe it’s just my shit.

She tried to hug me before kicking me out. She said, ‘you need a hug.’ I couldn’t bear it & refused to hug my spouse who was cheating on me & ruthlessly plotting to destroy me. My brain still can’t process all the lies. I still need a hug. Someday, I’ll get the perfect hug(s). ❤️

Haven’t complained once. Why should I? It’s a free service. However, sucks I move down here to rely on public transportation, it goes to shit & I return to relying on my car. KC needs better/diverse public transportation options. It’s in the works; just needs more public demand.

I did this in school and in other endeavors, I had the achievement but not the sense of contentment that I thought should come with it. Took me years, but I just wanted my family’s love. Still didn’t get it. Still felt that emptiness.

Witnessed a man work his last shift as a route-delivery driver today. 30-plus years of excellent service. He’s a man of his word & a ‘dude you can count on.’ He inspired me this week in how he went about his business. No matter how crapy things can be, we can choose to be cool.
