College football makes it up as it goes. There’s no architecture to protect.
If you drop Alabama for losing to Georgia but reward teams who didn’t even reach their title game, you’re basically telling programs to game the system: avoid the conf. champ. The resume matters but so does protecting the architecture.

Because the Ohio State offensive line isn’t as good this season. Redzone success on offense is tied directly to your offensive line. As the field shrinks down the rushing lanes close quickly. You have to forcefully punch a hole in the defense to run. You often have to hold up
