Being “pro-BBC” means defending impartiality, not bias. If it wants to justify the licence fee, the BBC needs to reflect a broad spectrum of views in Britain. Not just the left’s. Those of us who actually believe in the institution are trying to save the BBC from itself.
I’ve written to Keir Starmer, Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage urging them to condemn Donald Trump’s attack on the BBC. The BBC belongs to Britain, not Trump. We must defend it together.

Voices of sanity are like finding shade in the desert atm.
Today’s trans epidemic is no different from the epidemic of multiple personality disorder in the 1980s. Yet, it’s more harmful because during MPD, it was only a gang of unethical therapists who colluded with the disorder whereas with trans, our governments, schools, legal

Emma nails it. We should celebrate of course, but both cold anger, and, frankly, exhaustion are also appropriate. But it's been a privilege to work ,- and fight - on this, with @FondOfBeetles (inter alia)
It only took: Eight years of notebooks of tracking stats. Six years after presenting my findings for the first time. @fairplaywomen @sharrond62 Five years after writing the first peer-reviewed paper that established an evidence base for policy making. @TLexercise @Scienceofsport

Male athletes are now banned from competing in Women's category at Olympics. Cool. Now strip these dudes of their gold medals & issue an apology to every woman who was cheated and brutally beaten.

After everything that’s come out, the @BBC is still hiding behind “we report all views”. You don’t. You silenced one side and called it balance. The denial is almost as shameful as the bias. Share Token👇

So the point of the BBC in your view is to stop Farage/Reform. Can you explain why the 30%+ currently telling pollsters they plan to vote Farage/Reform should, by your logic, continue to pay their licence fees? How can the BBC claim to be impartial and yet be tasked by people
The resignations of Tim Davie and Deborah Turness must be a chance for the BBC to turn a new leaf, rebuild trust and not give in to those like Nigel Farage who want to destroy it. We must stand up for a strong, independent BBC, to stop Trump’s America becoming Farage's Britain.

Good. If you’re asking that people in Tower Hamlets put their trust in you as an elected representative, you shouldn't be making contradictory promises to represent people 5000 miles away. Being a councillor is a privilege, not a stepping stone to another country's Parliament.
EXCL: Communities Secretary Steve Reed writes to Tower Hamlets authority saying he is "appalled" some of their councillors are standing for election in Bangladesh. He says: "I am particularly disappointed that Tower Hamlets councillors would consider doing so while the Council

I can't believe for years we had folks argue in major publications that sports shouldn't be separated by sex, that androgens didn't make that big of a difference, etc. Like it or not, biology plays a big role in performance. You can't deny reality, you have to deal with it.
IOC will limit women's sports to women following "a science-based review of evidence about permanent physical advantages of being born male."

And for years, in this regard, they have been absolutely correct.
And now Israel. Here’s part of a statement from its London embassy: ‘For years, we have repeatedly warned about the BBC’s consistent failures to uphold the standards of accuracy, impartiality, and integrity expected from a public broadcaster.’

About time! It’s staggering that they needed a scientific review to tell them something so obvious. Men are on average bigger, stronger and faster than women. That’s why we have women’s sport in the first place. For fairness, safety and dignity. #factsmatter #sexnotgender
