1. There is no offence of a cyclist speeding in the same way there is no offence of Close Passing a cyclist. Other offences can and do apply to both scenarios.

I see so many threads from road users talking about having ‘right of way’. ‘Right of way’ is mentioned a grand total of once in the Highway Code - to tell you no one has it.
Lots also need to understand when they should give way as well, regardless of whether others should have.

17 prisoners in one go for me in a total of 87 from 1 job. I’ve still got a a Polaroid of the whiteboard. There was a Shed load of work done as a result and other than a short statement, none of it was by me or the other arresting officers.

Seven nights straight, foot patrol around Bath city centre at times when I joined. Got to know a lot about the city and myself.
Learnt how my mouth could solve lot of matters that I see some get into brawls over these days, get me out of a lot of trouble & into it occasionally
Last night all our vehicles were out and about at calls so took the opportunity to walk around our patch. I’ve forgotten how much I’ve missed walking around at night when there is an eerily fog. Even got a “Oi, don’t see you lot wear those hats any more” 😂

The cyclists don’t commit an offence of speeding, but may commit one under s29 RTA of which the speed will be evidence.
