We need to be doing far more to end the ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing in Sudan. Evidence shows UK arms are ending up in Sudan. We must end all arms sales to the UAE now, no ifs no buts.

It was great to visit @TomHarrisonOrg in my constituency to see their work offering specialist addiction advice and support to veterans, rated outstanding by the CQC. We need statutory funding to make sure all who need can access vital services like this.

My thoughts are with the victims of the horrific Bondi Beach anti-Semitic attack on the first day of Channukah. Solidarity with the Jewish community. In times like these, we reaffirm our unity against hate and our commitment to the rights of all to worship in safety and freedom.

Our message is clear: justice for the Cammell Laird 37. These men were not vandals, nor criminals - they were workers fighting for their rights & livelihoods. Jobs, not jail, must guide us. We won’t rest until justice is done - these men deserve their names cleared.

Outside of Merseyside, few people know the story of the Cammell Laird 37. But for many in Birkenhead, these former shipyard workers are legendary. In 1984, they went on strike against privatisation and job losses, occuping a partially built gas rig. It landed them in prison:

Proud to host Mahmoud & Obaida in Parliament, who were evacuated from Gaza to receive life-changing medical care. After meeting the PM & sharing their journeys with MPs, we urge him to keep his promise to help reunite families & bring more children to the UK for vital support.

Great to visit JLR Halewood with Labour colleagues last week. The scale of the operation & the quality of the facilities are truly incredible. After a difficult year, it’s fantastic to see Halewood back up & running at full production & looking to the future with confidence 🚘

There's much to celebrate in the Government's Child Poverty Strategy which will lift half a million children out of poverty. That will leave 4 million children living below the pover4ty line, so I look forward to bigger and bolder steps to give them the best start in life.

Great to attend the celebration of @VLCLiverpool's Impact Report 2024-2025, evidencing how they provide great support to our most vulnerable citizens through their community-led justice provision. We need more organisations funded to offer such support.
