Following a short pursuit around Hartcliffe, this driver attempted to stretch their legs after crashing into a wall. They were swiftly detained by @ASPRoadSafety after an even shorter foot chase. Charged to appear at Bristol Magistrates Court.

Another excellent result from our Neighbourhood Tasking Team in South Bristol. Officers recovered a knife following a proactive stop and search on Newquay Road.

A busy day today, starting at HQ with a meeting with the Chief Finance Officer to discuss a project I’m leading. This was followed by a session with our desktop investigators, and finally a productive community meeting in Knowle.

Defendant failed to attend court and was subsequently arrested and presented before the court, where they were bailed. They then failed to appear again, a second warrant has now been issued for their arrest.

A Criminal Behaviour Order has been granted for 2 years, prohibiting the individual from entering any store at Imperial Park in Hartcliffe, as well as any other premises where they have been issued a written banning notice. #CBO #RetailCrime.
Court Result - Defendant found guilty of multiple shop thefts. Sentenced to 36 weeks in custody and fined £280. An application for a Criminal Behaviour Order will be made tomorrow.

Court Update - The defendant has been bailed to reappear at court on 31st July 2025 for sentencing for four counts of shop theft and one count of assault. #RetailCrime.
Many thanks to our new Neighbourhood Tasking Team for their assistance with an arrest relating to one of my investigations. A persistent shoplifter, who also assaulted a member of staff, has now been arrested, charged, and remanded to appear before Bristol Magistrates’ Court.
