Burglar jailed after high-speed pursuit. After breaking into a home, stealing handbags and a car, he drove the wrong way down a dual carriageway to evade police - but officers used tactical contact to stop him. Sentenced to 4 years 4 months.

A suspect attempted to escape on a stolen moped, even throwing a helmet at officers during the pursuit! When that failed, he abandoned the moped and discarded two knives over a wall, before being safely detained by officers. He was arrested, charged and sentenced to 15 months
